hi ask k lang kung nag ielts ka din ba? may application na ako for FSW pero need ko pa mag ielts, di ko pa magets ang BET or CRNE and alam ko to license nurse in canada. nagbabasa basa pa din ako. ano po ba ang ibig sabhin ng BET?

THANKS.

hi blessed23, please take time to review the previous posts and you will find the answers to your questions...

faithfully hopeful and faithyou (hindi naman kayo related? hahahaha! ;D) IELTS requirement has been posted as well... the CNO, thanks to baby_gurl for this information, has began accepting ACADEMIC and GENERAL training results beginning december 2010... below is the original quoted correspondence posted by baby_gurl...

The CNO accepts both Academic and General categories for IELTS, accepted scores are: 6.5 over all (Writing, Reading, Listening) and 7.0 in Spoken. The CNO does not have an expiry date for fluency tests. Fluency is not a requirement to take the national exam but it will be required to obtain your nursing license in Ontario. If you have already completed the fluency test and would like it evaluated by the CNO please request the testing centre to mail your results directly to the CNO.

IELTS results accepted by the CNO should be sent directly by the British Council to their office... your personal TRFs will not suffice... this means you need to request the british council to provide the CNO a copy of your TRF... just go to the British Council website and look for "how to order additional TRF copies"... i think you need to pay Php 1,200 for this service and download and submit a request form...

IELTS result is required for REGISTRATION, it is not a requirement however to sit for the CRNE... so this means you may request for your IELTS results to be forwarded to their office anytime during your application process... just be mindful of the 2-year validity of test results... ;)

goodluck to us all!

@ canimmigrant,

thanks...yah better i'll request british council to send CNO a copy of my ielts result na rin... ;D ;D ;D

Hi po nurses!...Im a BSN grad and got my license back in 2006 but never got the chance to practice it kc nag caregiver ako toronto...currently i have an application under family class and hopefully by August matatanggap ko na ang visa pabalik sa Canada. Ask ko lng po sana, ano po yung chances na mapapractice ko ang profession natin kahit na wla akong experience dito? :(

Welcome to the thread!

Every province has their own set of rules and requirements to follow to be eligible
to take the CRNE.

To give you an overview of CNO registration, you can visit their website at www.cno.org. There is a section there for Internationally trained nurses like us.

Goodluck and welcome po ulit!

Hi blessed23 welcome! Tama po si canimmigrant, this thread is becoming more informative everyday so I encourage you to read the previous posts if you have time :D

Para mareview po BET means Baccalaureate Equivalency Table, It is composed of a number of questions that you are required to answer in essay form to prove
that you possess the competencies of a general nurse practitioner in Canada. It will ask you to provide specific examples of your nursing experience and provide the
rationale for your actions in dealing with the case. Some were not required to fill up the BET form and were given the eligibility to take the CRNE. Maybe because of
the number of years of their work experience or a Master's degree. I was required to accomplish the BET but after almost 2 months, I am still waiting for the decision of the CNO.

CRNE is the Canadian RN Examination. Similar to our Philippine Nursing Board Exam. Passing it and fulfilling a number of other requirements will make one a Registered Nurse in Canada.

Please visit www.cno.org if you have time. They have a section regarding the registration process for Internationally Educated Nurses. Goodluck!

Thank you po paulferer sa post..,maybe i will just check the site..thank you po ulit! God bless Filipino Nurses!
