hi po... i have a question. if ur an nclex passer. is it true that the equivalent status in canada when u passed nclex is LPN?
No problem reydon123. It's now been a month since I passed my BET. No word yet from CNO. Still hoping to be eligible despitereydon123 said:paulferrer, thanks for the reviewer.
cai84, r u an RN or an LPN? If ur an RN in the states do you have a bachelors degree or associate degree? Here in Canada, for you to be able to sit for the CRNE, you have to have a bachelor's degree in nursing, but having a bachelors degree does not guarantee you that u are right away eligible, board of nursing still has to evaluate ur credentials and in addition to that ur years of experience.cai84 said:hi po... i have a question. if ur an nclex passer. is it true that the equivalent status in canada when u passed nclex is LPN?
Same here... I called CNO, told me that my application is still under assessment, she can not give any definite answer... she ( the person that I spoke to ) told me that once the assessment is done they will inform me in writing of the result...hayyyyy hirap mag-antay...hopefully all us will be eligible...paulferrer said:No problem reydon123. No, that is not true. Passing the NCLEX has nothing to do here in Canada. You still have to be assessed by the College of Nurses, be eligible and pass the CRNE or CLPNE. I graduated from the Philippines, I am an RN in California, worked there for 8 years then move here in Canada...was I allowed to work as an RPN here in Canada....NO. Right now I am waiting for my eligibility to write the exam...had to accomplish BET. If I applied to sit for CLPNE ( for RPN ) yes I am qualified to sit for that exam, pass it then that is the time I can work as an RPN. Hope this clear things up.cai84 said:hi reydon... im a RN here in the PI. im an nclex passer. a friend of mine from edmonton told me once ur a passer of the nclex exam u r allowed to work as a RPN in canada; all u need to do is to submit necessary documents to clpna. i jz wnt to verify this one.. dyu have any idea bwt this? =)
reydon123, well fsw application ko eh in process with RBVO details at mukhang tatagal pa yun...gusto ko sana mag work permit muna pero hindi ko alam kung tumatanggap ang ontario ng mga provisional registration since i need it in applying for a work visa...meron k abang alam na placement agency there na naghahanap ng emplyer?cheersreydon123 said:paulferrer, thanks for the reviewer.
lloydnina, if u have the provisional registration, what kind of visa are you gonna use to enter Canada? I dont have any idea how the process goes regarding sponsorship eh, better ask a lawyer about that...why not apply for provincial nominee program or federal skilled worker para pagpasok mo dito immigrant ka na...
thanks much reydon.. everything makes sense now =)reydon123 said:No, that is not true. Passing the NCLEX has nothing to do here in Canada. I also applied for assessment/Registration in CNO sometime in February. They sent a document package to me in MArch which contains the Option form and list of all other documents, should i choose to continue with my application. So far, No BET form.. I'm currently still trying to accomplish the other documents..
Thanks Paul!paulferrer said:Welcome to the thread khai! So no BET with the option form? Can you share your details with us. Such as if you have Master's

Sacred heart of Jesus, i place all my trust in you... sana lahat tayo mabigyan ng eligibility...khai said:Thanks Paul!
