Filing taxes in USA AND Canada - advice?

We moved to Canada 1.5 years ago. Last year, we used a free online tax service for our Canadian taxes and we have always used an accountant in the States. Well now we are hesitant to pay so much for a US accountant because we made no income there. We also are not sure whether or not to hire someone here. WE used simpletax last year which seems OK. Any recommendations? accountant or Turbotax?

I think it depends on the complexity of your taxes and your comfort level with filing on your own.

We use an online tax program in Canada and pay a tax specialist in the US since we have rental properties there and other factors that complicate the return.
