I am not 100% sure what your question is, but, if you are worried that parents claiming you as a dependent in their tax filings going to affect your sponsorship, than you have nothing to worry about.2015daisy said:??? ???

CIC is pretty clear on who MAY NOT be qualified as a sponsor. In all other cases there should be no issue being a sponsor, including the OP case. Being declared as a dependent in CRA filing is not a problem.Turbo2000 said:@ sashali78
Does it mean a dependent can be a sponsor ?
It's completely irrelevant to the PR application. CRA and CIC are 2 separate things and have completely different definitions of some terms.2015daisy said:please give me information .. i am really really worried about this.
my main question is that if my parents claim my tuition payment in their taxes and say i am a dependent of theirs will it make me not able to sponsor my spouse?
I have 0 income and i am a fulltime student... My husband (who i am sponsering) has a good income of +$5000 per monthfr33z3n said:Are you able to take care of your spouse financially?
That's fine. CIC will look at your family income as a whole.2015daisy said:I have 0 income and i am a fulltime student... My husband (who i am sponsering) has a good income of +$5000 per month
I read there is no minimun income required when sponsering, but would it be an issue that mine is 0?
Incorrect. Many unemployed people successfully sponsor their spouses all the time. CIC will look at a variety of financial sources, including spouse's income, sponsor's potential income, family assistance etc.fr33z3n said:From CIC
When you sponsor one of these relatives to become permanent residents of Canada, you must support them financially. This means you have to meet certain income guidelines.
