I can feel your frustration. But that's just the way it is. Everyone who went into this path also experienced this. And the application process is only 1/2 of the way. The settlement part is the other part. So be prepared way ahead before you land and try to research and get some information. The Migrating to Canada info site is helpful to me and I found many relevant information that helped me settle well. Do check it out.

It seems, everyone has given-up hope of anything materialising soon.

Maybe when I go down my grave
Dear All,

I was informed by my agent (WWICS) that CHC, ND has updated them last week that pre june applicants would have to wait 20 months from the date of their second file no. in order to see any movement with their files. Hence they have asked me to hold on for another 5 more months. When I asked them if this 20 month waiting period is final, they replied that CHC takes the call and that they can either stick to the 20 months period or they could delay it further (just as CHC first stuck to the 12 month period which then got increased to 13 months and then 15 months and now 20 months). Lets hope that CHC sticks to 20 month waiting period otherwise it would be an indefinite wait for most of us. Anyways I am completely frustrated of putting my life on standstill mode and I am going to think of other options. Meanwhile if Canada clicks for me, I will take it up at the time it happens rather than putting my life on hold and wasting away my years. I am already 31 and time is running out. I guess there is no use over worrying about something which is uncertain and not time bound. If it has to happen, it will happen: Similarly if Canada is written in your fate, it will happen. No use fretting about delays and policies in connection with Canadian Migration.

--- Few words from a pre-june FSW applicant on an endless wait.

Regards,
Sakhi.

Wonder why asterisk appeared when I typed the name of my agent in my previous post.

Half of FSW Applications are Returned
Randy Orr was pleased to announce on Friday, September 16th, to CAPIC that the CIO in Sydney, Nova Scotia received 34,000 applications in the last fiscal year and returned 17,000 because one of his five anonymous gnomes, after spending 1.6 hours on average per file, succeeded in finding something amiss, thereby allowing him/her to bounce the application. Because CIC takes two months before "reviewing" a file and returns FSW applications by snail mail, this policy of bouncing as many applications as possible means that many qualified applicants will find the cap reached even before their bounced application reaches them.

Examples of reasons these anonymous gnomes used to bounce applications are: the level of completed education was not stated for the applicant's three- and five-year-olds; and the category ticked was "family", as opposed to "economic". So, when you apply, (a) do not make even the pettiest of mistakes and (b) provide a Canadian mailing address so that it does not take many more months before your application reaches you.

Any victim of such maliciousness who, as a result, was unable to be processed because the quota had been filed before the application could be resubmitted should consider seeking the Federal Court's intervention. No act of Parliament authorizes churning applications in order to assure that there is always another file to peer at for 1.6 hours and, thus, to avoid being laid off owing to lack of work.

Hi All,

I have done my meds and now CHC has asked for my PPs and RPRF. Could you please tell me what would be the safest way of sending these imp docs?

I'm not sure, but perhaps, a Bluedart courier, though the safest is not possible, because CHC has a PO Box Address and would not accept any hand deliveries.

Pls suggest
