Tell me about it yaar!
I have been driving around an 11 year old rickety car, thinking that there is no point in buying a new car right now.
I havent even gone in for a digital tv!!
All major life decisions are on hold because of this.

I completely agree with Sukhija Bhaji.... Not shifting my job since I have already talked to my vertical that he may receive call from VO. New Job New vertical.. GOD knows how he/she will react.

I had also been holding petty & big decisions keeping in mind that I must conserve resources for Canada & do not spend it here.

I even want to further upgrade my studies but holding on thinking that I will do that in Canada to get value for Canadian studies in Canada.

Same here, Sukhija Paaji,
All this uncertainty is really killing me! Our life is on a BIG pause mode. My car is giving me a lot of problems, but still I'm holding on to it. Though I did purchase a new LED TV a couple of months back, thinking I'll just pack it and take it along.... ;)
It's really difficult to live with all this uncertainty.

Dear Tarak ! I can't believe my eyes when i checked my Ecas in the evening. My address disappeared and Guess but is my status: IN PROCESS WITH RBVO
Dear Lubob,
My address also disappeared on 3rd August, 2011 and re-appeared on 16th August, 2011, but the status on eCas always remained 'In Process' and it is still the same. Disappearance of address may mean that some progress is being made on our file, but it is still anybody's guess regarding the exact significance of this finding. Let's keep our fingers crossed. Hopefully you will get some good news soon .... ;)
Wish you all the best !

Dear Sir/Madam,

This is in response to your recent email enquiry to the Immigration
Section of the Canadian High Commission in New Delhi.

An Acknowledgement of Receipt letter was sent to you after your
application was received by our office. Your application is currently
in a queue awaiting initial review.

Unless we have specifically asked you to do so, you are not required to
submit any documentation at this time. Our office will contact you to
provide the required supporting documentation for the assessment of your
application.

If you applied as a Federal Skilled Worker on or after 27 February 2008
and before 26 June 2010, your application will take two years or more to
be processed.

Unfortunately, it will take longer to process federal skilled worker
applications submitted under the first set of instructions (between 27
February 2008 and 25 June 2010) than originally projected. During this
time, the department received applications for more than 425,000 people,
and 144,000 of these have not yet received a decision.

This number represents more than twice the number of projected
admissions under the federal skilled worker program in 2011. As a
result, applicants will wait two years or more to be processed.

If you wish to withdraw your application, you may be eligible for a
refund of your processing fees.

Applications in the Skilled Worker category are processed in order of
receipt. Your application forms and fees guarantee your place in the
processing queue. Your file is being processed in accordance with its
place in the queue, based on the date on which the application and fee
payment were received in our office. As we are not yet ready to review
your file, you are not required send any documents in support of your
application. Since your application is still within normal processing
times, we are not able to provide any status updates on your file. When
we are ready to review your file, we will send a document request letter
to you using the contact information we have on your file. That letter
will list all documents required to continue processing your
application.

Until we contact you, the only information

Hi tarakrs
Yes i have been to Canada for a few months, though it was almost a decade back, and after that i have travelled to US almost half a dozen times. But they were not very specific about what the fingerprinting was for. One fine day i just got a phone call from the New Delhi High Commission that i must be present at their office on so-and-so date for fingerprinting. There was no written communication either.
Anyway, so I went there and gave my fingerprints on a piece of paper. That is the last i heard from them! Since then its been all quite on the Canadian front.
May be your name is similar to someone who have criminal record on their file. So they want to double check via fingureprint that you are a different person than someone on criminal record.

On sidenote, our email inquiry is replied 2 months later that they have received our documents requested in May and now pending for review. Nothing else in email like 2 yr waiting or anything.

hi All,
Need urgent help. I am sending my Original passports, medical receipts (reports will be sent by DMP to CHC), and bank drafts to CC New Delhi.
My friend in India tried to send the docs through blue dart but the guy refused saying he cant send courier to a PO Box address. Anyways, we will try with speed post. Need following queries to be answered as I have just 7 working days with me:
1. Is EMS speed post good enough to send the possports to this address?
2. Is below address correct? Or do i need to add "Chanakyapuri" in address as well? refered this site as well for address
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/offices/missions/new-delhi.asp

Canadian High Commission
Immigration Section
P.O. Box 5209
New Delhi
110021, India

3. I have gone through the CHC letter several times but still have confusion. Query is, I just need to send the medical recepits. Reports and results will be sent by DMP. Right?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
DVM
Thanks All. Today, I logged in after many days. Current status is that my passports were deliverd to CHC ND on 20th Aug through EMS Speed post.
Just waiting to hear back from them. eCas status still in process.

Is there any way to figure out if they are working on the file and if they ave reached some decision?

Thnx,
DVM
