just call and ask to get an update information on your file.. the agent will not able to help and ask them to get a customer realtion manager .. so u will get a call soon.

AHH !! i see ... interesting I will call them up now and see what they tell me. How long does it take for the customer relationship manager to call you back ?
did he give you any tentative dates you should hear back and other details or did he just say its under review ?

Yeah I'm not sure what the issue is, I applied for a work permit with the exact same title/duties under NOC 4163 and got the work permit approved in June, so if there was a discrepancy between the job and the letter I assume the work permit would have been denied too.
So everyone waiting here ..
I called CIC and raised a complain .. and the customer relation manager called back . He said the same thing richi was told
file under review no exact timeline. He did suggest 3 things :
1. do the waiting game
2. Lodge a official complaint against CIC saying this is unjust
3. create another file and put it in process with another category.
I have no idea what to do .. Looks like they are starting to finalize aug , sept , oct 2012 applications hopefully we hear soon. !!

Well he said doesn't look like u shld be rejected .. if they were completely dissatisfied they would have rejected you a while back. But thats all he can say.
I dunno i am thinking of creating a new application and keeping it ready just in case.
