My file was moved to NYVO in Jan 2020 and very slow progress. Finally on Oct 2020 I was asked to send additional requirements. March 2021 I was asked again to send additional requirements. I just sent the requirements yesterday. I really hope they will stop asking additional requirements. Weird, the lastest update I have is May 3 2021 medical passed. I had my medical done in October 2019.

Our application was received in New York March 16, 2021 and we applied Aug 2020. We have biometrics and medical completed. I'm really hoping we hear something soon!

You will not get an email nor gckey notification of decision made. The next correspondence you should likely get is the passport request. No, no idea how long that might be - could be very soon or a couple or three months.

Today I received an email for passport request. Already sent to VAC. Finally after 22 months of waiting.

NYVO is pretty slow for me too. I didn't submit Biometrics payment with my initial submission. On Mar 23 they requested Biometrics payment. I sent it in wrong, got a response that I did it wrong on Apr 16. Resubmitted same day. Since then I haven't heard back on whether the payment was received or if it was done wrongly. Medicals have been requested early Apr and passed in early May. The waiting is torture!

Sorry to hear that. When did you apply and when was your file transferred to NYVO?

File mailed mid Sept 2020, AOR received Mar 18 2021, biometrics request-for-payment Mar 23 2021, letter saying it was going to NYVO received Mar 24 2021. I did not receive notification that it arrived at NYVO, but calls that I have recently made to IRCC get the response of 'it's in the NYVO, we can't get any further information on it, try the online services' in a nutshell.

Congrats, glad it ws so quick.
Thanks. Almost 2 years and i cant believe I waited that long. What a relief. I am relieved the last request for additional requirements was reviewed quickly. The processing time updated online is indeed real, actually mine was a wk earlier.

Based on experience it can really take time. I know the feeling, been there. I had no updates from Jan 2020 until Oct 2020.

I hope my comment 'glad it was so quick' didn't sound insensitive - was referring to the time between seeing DM and getting the PPR, of course.

You really got caught in the peak of the covid 'pause' - our experience was roughly similar, nothing for about six months during the January-August period. (Obviously varies somewhat by country, presumably due to severity of lockdowns)
