This info should be included in the PPR email, right?

Your mailbox is full. I just wanted to answer your last question... You can search for one 4rum member with his latest landing experience. He had H1B, completed landing in Can by rental car near Detroit and came back to US in the same day ;).

Hi All,

I've been silently following several threads on this forum and I decided to share my stats with you guys. Here's what I got on CIC website:

  • We received your application for permanent residence on August 21, 2009.
  • We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on October 14, 2009. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
  • Your application and supporting documents were received by the New York office. They are pending review.
  • We transferred your application to the New York office on October 19, 2009. The New York office may contact you.
  • We transferred your application to the New York office on May 17, 2010. The New York office may contact you.
  • Your application was reviewed and we started processing on June 4, 2010.
  • Medical results have been received.

I know (by tracking the doctor's courier) that my medical exams have been received in Ottawa on July 3rd '10, which is almost 3 months (will be on Nov 3rd). I believe/hope there isn't much more time left.

I'm in Toronto since Feb 2008 on a work permit working as a Software Developer. My company is helping with the expenses so I decided to go with a lawyer. So far so good.

I hope I receive the passport request soon.

Kind Regards,
Foreignsaurus

WElcome aboard, friends, I believe that you're affected by the Caps in NYVO. And in that case, you're not supposed to get PPR until sometime next year :D

Hi,

I really hope there aren't serious delays. Based on a post I've seen on page 9 of this thread, I am kind of optimistic.

The user OrangeC has posted the stats, on page 9, and the post shows that the initial application was just 11 before mine.
Later, on page 12, the same user has posted that the passport request has been received.
(I would have posted the links here, however it seems like it's not allowed.)

Do you think I should try to contact CIC regarding this? If so, would you say it's fair to wait a couple more weeks considering it's been officially less than 3 months since the medicals have received by them?

Hopefully it will sent before 2011. I've been here for almost 3 years now. I'm kind of tired of living under the temporary status and have to renew the work permit every year.

Kind Regards,
Foreignsaurus

Does anyone one know what happens after medicals sent? Is there truely a background check between medicals and ppr?
your views pls.
