Many Congratulations ! Dream come true :-)

Congrats Descan..
After you received your MR and submitted the MR, did they still ask you for more documents like bank statements or police clearance? do you know if they still ask after MR?
Thanks and hoping to hear from you and other seniors in the forum...

Can somebody tell me the meaning of this: "Your application was reviewed and we started processing on December 13, 2011"

Inputs will be appreciated

Hi Eliza W, I'm in Saskatchewan, Canada, not really very close to NY...I really didnt expect it since its almost holiday already but I guess NY is really working hard these days and they are really fast though it took almost 2 months since our file was transferred...
I'm sure you will receive yours soon, maybe next week...
Good luck :)

Thank you, larxace. I've no idea when I could get my MR. I think my attorney is on vacation now, I called many times but nobody answered. I use their address as they insisted. Sigh...

I wish you all the best for the rest!

My attorney in Canada hasn't received MR for me as of yesterday.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all !!!!!!!

I have not yet done my Medicals. I am also yet to receive the MR letter my friend has forwarded to me from US. I should receive it next week. I will let you know what other documents have been asked for.

Good luck

Hi Guys,
For those who got their MR, is there an instance that they will ask for further documents like police clearance or bank statements or after the MR, we just have to wait for the passport request?
Please your help is much appreciated.

Larxace
i was asked to submit updated IMM008 and Schedule 1. after is sent them, NYVO sent another email to send my baby's birth certificate (she was born in Canada) and updated Family info sheet.

Friends,

My Medical requested date sep mid. It's been 90 days now. Still no PPR yet. I send an email to NY visa office to check the status.
when i sent an email i got the following reply.

Thank you for your inquiry. Our records indicate your file is currently in queue for processing and you will receive instructions very shortly from this office.

Mine is fsw3. All others in the same time frame got their ppr's.

I am little worried..anyone with the sametime frame still waiting for ppr?

Thanks,

Friends,
Can we do visa stamping at NY VO in person or it has to be by mail only?
People who received PPR request from NYVO, can you please let me know if there instructions for submitting in person. I am nervous to part with my passport for few weeks for getting visa stamped, especially with parents and family in a different country.
Thanks

US2CN,
it used to be only by mail as u can check from these threads.
http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/passport-visa-stamping-at-ny-consulate-ny-t24806.0.html

and

http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/passport-request-from-new-york-city-consulate-can-i-deliver-it-in-person-t48777.0.html

However, the link to that information on their official site is dead and i could not find any other information on their web site saying explicitly that that you cannot do it in person.
In my ppr there is only one line regarding mailing saying
"passport(s) are returned by mail within 30 business days". As for submitting passports, there is just another one line saying that "please submit the required passports within 30 days", but they don't say that you cannot do it in person. quite vague.
My point is that may be it is worth to ask them explicitly.
btw, if you are from visa exempt country, you don't need to submit passport at all.
