I did my Medicals today in India. Took less than 3 hr to get that done. Around $160 for two people ... The process was very streamlined.

The DMP asked me where I wanted the report to go - New Delhi or Ottawa? I requested them to send the report to Ottawa (as my VO is New York). They will do it for additional courier charge that is included in $160 mentioned above. Report should go out in 10 days and they will provide me with a tracking number once they send out the report.

You can do visa stamping in person in NYVO. I have done it last month as I was travelling to India. I was not in situation to send passport by post and wait for a month to get it back from NYVO
So I emailed my situation to the visa office and they replied with affirmation.

It will take couple of hours. You need to take the email confirmation.

Can we do visa stamping at NY VO in person or it has to be by mail only?
People who received PPR request from NYVO, can you please let me know if there instructions for submitting in person. I am nervous to part with my passport for few weeks for getting visa stamped, especially with parents and family in a different country.

Hi Eliza,

I also filed my case through my attorney when I was in Canada (I have been back in India for the last 19 months now). I used to do correspondence with Buffalo VO and they always responded. However, when I sent a mail to NYVO last month, they came back to say that since I filed my case through a paid representative, all correspondence should be routed through the nominated attorney only and they would not entertain direct correspondence from me. I don't know why they work differently.

Any way, holiday season is officially over (on 2 January), let's hope these rejevulated visa officers will work vigorously to complete our cases.

I'm so glad for you. It's really nice! BTW,what's RPRF?

My attorney did not receive my MR yet. They started to process my file on Dec 7th, it's almost a month. Very frustrated about it.

Thank you for your last post about using a attorney. That's helpful. I planned to send an email to NYC office recently, it looks like it won't work. Sometimes, it causes more troubles when you use a attorney. Not only my attorney is on vacation, but their whole office is closed. No one could check the mail.
