File number post appeal

I just checked e-cas to see if there was an update on my husband's file. We received a rejection last August and I've been able to log into e-cas using the same information I always have. However, today a page came up, saying the information I submitted was invalid, then explained several reasons why.

To those of you who have been through appeals and reprocessing:
Did you receive a new file number when your file was reopened?

I havent went through an appeal
but i know someone that did. and they gave him a new file number after the appeal when the file was reopened.

Thanks very much. We are on the brink of applying for a TRP because I need my husband here to help with our child, but I had a sneaking suspicion things may start moving as soon as we started pursuing other options. I'm so curious about how everything is going to pan out now.

yes that is usually how things go. once you start doing something else your process will start moving, it always works like that with everything in life haha.

I actually sent a copy of my appeal approval letter via the case specific inquiry form and now I'm wondering if they ever received it aside from me...
