Maximum points which a candidate can practically score without 600 thru LMIA/PNP is 498. This is possible only if the candidate is young, but at the same time experienced too with IELTS Score of 8+. Most of the applicants in the pool is between 300-450 range. Therefore, soon the cut off points are likely to come down

Even i got the mail , exatcly by 1.08 AM india time ..Some is playing around ., nothing really happened in CIC website

Members,

Would it be possible to apply EE parallel that is creating 2 profiles at the same time -
one to apply EE individually (no dependents) where we can get more points ?
second to apply EE with dependents - gives less points ? and once PR done we can apply TRV for dependent ?
Also , any actual calculator available to calculate exact points ?

Hi,
the calculator: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp

498, really? How did you come up with that number? The max (realistic) score for someone with no PNP/LMIA is actually close to 550. I only have one year of Canadian work experience myself and I've got over 500 points.

Over 500 points without LMIA and PNP? How did you arrive at that scores please?
<30 + master's degree + 1 year of foreign work experience + 1 year of Canadian experience + speak English and French.

I have over 500 too. The max that I have seen was 524 I think.

As per my findings upto 560 is possible in ideal circumstances

There are exceptional cases where the candidate is complying age, language, work experience , Canadian work experience and so on. The bunch is sitting between 350 to 450 where the competition is tough. The EE will drop in Sep/Oct to decide the pool in between from 350-450.

Close to 550, although possible, its a rare combo. You would need to have immaculate bilingual skills, atleast a post grad degree and a few years of exp. However, as soon as a person is close to achieving that, his age score drops. Most of them get married etc. So, you have to be standing on that thin golden line in your life which not a lot can do.
furthermore, comming above 500 would be hard for non bilinguals. tons of people atleast in this forum are not very keen on learning french.

And tgere are people, who know a bit of french, but never got tested becoz you could get away with just ielts in the last CEC program.

Hence i believe that anybody above even 480 would be less than 2% of the entire pool.

your thoughts??!!

HOPING FOR A POSITIVE RESPONSE FRON CIC! #praying for our range of scores to come out! :) ;)
