Hello All

I have got few questions for which I seek your help.

1) For assessing the educational qualifications via WES, I would be sending the colour-xeroxed copies of my documents and the documents I receive from the educational institution. Do I need to send anything apart from the documents? I mean like a covering letter or anything other than educational documents required?
2) I am planning to apply PR only for myself for the moment but I would like to include the details of my wife and child in the application. Is this a possibility
3) If answer is "yes" to the above question then how much of funds should be shown as proof.

Thanks all.

Hello buddy,

Answer to your questions are -

1) For assessing the educational qualifications via WES, I would be sending the colour-xeroxed copies of my documents and the documents I receive from the educational institution. Do I need to send anything apart from the documents? I mean like a covering letter or anything other than educational documents required?
A. Although colour-xeroxed copies are not a compulsion BUT since you did it, it is fine. Second for WES, you will be requiring only all your marksheets plus final degree certificate attested and dated either by Registrar or Controller of Examiner with the sealed envelop having the University stamp as well as Registrar or Controller of Examiner on the back flap of the envelope. REMEMBER If submitting mark sheets from the Univ. of Mumbai, Gujarat Univ., and Goa Univ. please follow special instructions, for that do check WES site again.

2) I am planning to apply PR only for myself for the moment but I would like to include the details of my wife and child in the application. Is this a possibility
A. Well I believe including the details are fine BUT one question here why not you are filing for both your wife as well as child either in the main application itself. As say if I understand you correctly, you might be thinking that first you try to get PR for yourself and once you settle there, then you sponsor both your wife and kid. If this is what's in your mind - will suggest to consider opting for filling Express Entry application for all three of you in the first go itself.

3) If answer is "yes" to the above question then how much of funds should be shown as proof.
A. Number of
Family Members Funds Required
(in Canadian dollars)
1 $11,931
2 $14,853
3 $18,260
4 $22,170
5 $25,145
6 $28,359
7 or more $31,574
You do not have to show that you have these funds if:

you have a valid offer of arranged employment in Canada AND
you are currently working or authorized to work in Canada.

Hope the above answer helps.

Good luck.
K

Hello karenn1617
Thank you for your quick response.
The reason I am planning only for my self is two fold. If I apply for PR only for myself first then
1) I would have to spend less amount on the visa fee initially
2) I probably might need to show less amount as proof as funds as I would be moving alone to CA first
At the moment, I have loans to payoff (that is one of the main reasons for moving to CA as well) and so thought if I only I can go first and earned enough money then I can have visa processed for my family members then.
If the process is like I need to show proof of funds for all the dependent members of the family whether I apply visa for them or not then I can apply visa for them as well.
