Hi gyus, I have received my PPR today, I have received an email from new york not ottawa, should I submit my PP to new york?

You send your passport to the visa office which sent you the passport request, obviously. If your passport was requested from the VO in New York, you send it to New York.

Thanks for the info.

So if I understand, my wife can change from open to close work permit if the employer is willing to and pay just $100? Is she exempt from Lmo and CAQ ?

No, she will not be exempt if she is applying for a closed work permit, unless she has a CSQ (which I guess is not the case).
I think the easiest way would be for you to apply for a new closed work permit. By doing so, your wife will be able to obtain a new open work permit as your spouse.

Thanks again

But my wife also has csq with code 130: stating she has direct validated job offer and for software field area of training on it.

I will contact CIC to see what their reply will be
Anand

In that case she is LMIA exempt. She will be able to apply for a closed work permit, however, her employer still has to pay the recently introduced compliance fee of $230.

Rocket City, Congratulations. I updated your information in the tracker.

I UPGRADED the tracker to reflect the VO timelines instead of just Ottawa average timelines. To do this, I added 30% of the published times of processing for each VO to the average ottawa timeline.

I also added a few more stats to the spreadsheet so we can get a clearer idea of whats happening.

Hello everybody

I have a question, on behalf of a friend:

Is it possible to make the medical test outside Canada, when someone has submitted one's application inside Canada? If yes, is the file processed inside Canada or at the visa office corresponding to the where the medical is done?

Thank you for your help, if you had a similar experience.

Its doesnt matter where you take the test, you can take the test where ever you want. Make sure the doctor you go to uploads the medicals to the right VO.

Hey Suryak, would you be able to sort the entries out according to, for example, application date? that way, it will be easier for everyone to see the people who submitted their applications before them versus those after them. I understand that the list will be get messed up every now and then as new people add their name at the end, but maybe then, we can update it periodically to get it sorted out every few days or so. Just a suggestion :)

I can definately sort it by application date but the problem is that when I did it the last time, i noticed people were thinking their entries were deleted and added it again. But yes, I will sort it by application date.
