Until a few days ago, the status of my application was: Application Received mentioning the date of reception and that the medical results have been received. Yesterday the status was changed directly to Decision Made with the four lines below. It is interesting that they started processing our application on May 27 and then on May 28 they asked for our passports. We had a very quick agent.
1.We received your application for permanent residence on September 27, 2013.
2.We started processing your application on May 27, 2014.
3.Medical results have been received.
4.A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision.

Hey Surrey, Take it easy! You only sent your application in April 2014, It's not even two months. The official processing time is around 20 months, so normally only after 20 months should you ask them what is happening. You are within the normal delay of treatment, so I wouldn't write them. During my waiting, I only wrote them to inform about the changes in our situation as stated on the CIC website (for example, I renewed my passport, my wife got another job, etc). The thing you can actually do is to ask for your GCMS notes where you will receive all information about the status of your application.Surrey100 said:Hey any idea if i email them would that be a good step to do so or its negative impact

you should reply them with a copy of your passport. and dont worry, i think everything is going good for you. you will hear something good really soon.Dsand said:I did, two actually. One asking them what was going on, and then another one sending them the information regarding the renewal of my passport. They haven't replied to the first one, but they replied to the other one simply telling me that i hadn't attached a copy of my passport to the email (even though i did), so I'm not sure what else can be done...
