You might want to ask CIC? Because according to your timeline, it is very consistent with my timeline (from the time you apply to the time of AOR, to the time of MR, then in process, etc.).... However, I got PPR after 2.5 months in process. They might forget your file due to the strike????

Your timeline was faster then usual , 2.5 months was too fast comparing to other timelines, usually it is about 5 months, but that is just based on some timelines i saw in this forum, i may be wrong

Guys, I heard that CIC do the background checks, which usually happens at the end.. Some times this back checks takes ages to complete.. I read on some other blogs that people got stuck in it for few years.. from the blogs i came to know that agencies which do the back checks are CSIS and CBSA.. I may be wrong though.. just wanted to share this info, if anyone knows more, please comment..

ThQ for sharing the option.

Do you guys know long it takes for CIC to do background (security) checks? I lived in 2 countries in the Caribbean during the past 10 years. Police certificates from both countries were sent from day 1.

Hi Guys.
I have something to share with you.
I got Ready For Visa Letter today, I hope it is the same as PPR, isn't it ?

Congrats Alex11! it seems like you are all set!

And that seems to comfirmed the trend , Ottawa is dealing with November december 2012 Applicants. I guess the first quater 2013 applicants can hope to see some movement from next month!
