Why not give equal status to everyone?! My work permit is expiring at the start of January and I'm heading home in 3 weeks, all because Canadian Immigration are taking their sweet time. If a PEQ applicant can be processed quickly then so can QSWs, especially those of us who've been in Canada for a while!

I have been living in Canada for 10.5 years. I dont have to do any security check anywhere but Canada itself. I didn't even send a police certificate. Maybe that's why my application is fast. Imagine, I spent 10.5 years of frustrating and money.... A lot of money for my school fee and documents. I'm an expert in study permit and work permit for international student now >.< (and this is not cool). I wish you luck though. Everyone has their own faith (I believe in destiny).
