federal Timelines share for QSW sydney applicants - file CPP-Ottawa

i am from montreal. both my husband and me are applying for PR thru QSW. I am the principal applicant. so i just need to fill the forms once including my husband as dependant . right? or i have to fill them twice???

Hi Everyone,

I would just like to share my timeline for QSW. I applied for PR status while I was in Canada. I entered Canada on a student visa and then obtained a post graduate work permit after graduating. I decided to apply for PR while working and now I have returned to my home country because my work permit expired before my PR was approved. I am now just patiently waiting for PR to be approved to return to Canada. Hopefully that will happen soon

Ecas “Federal Application Received” – April 30th 2012
Request to have Medical Exam – June 19th 2012
Medical Exam Submitted – June 28th 2012
RPRF requested and Medical extended– June 18th 2013
Request for updated personal history- September 3rd 2013 (Personal history submitted September 10th)
Ecas “In Process”- September 19th 2013
Request for new Police Clearance – September 23rd 2013 (New Police Clearance couriered October 21st)

yes if you are principal applicant than apply only once and include your husband as dependent. you dont need to file twice.

It actually doesn't sounds so true to me. As far as I know most (QSW,CPP-O) applicant from June-Oct 2012 (including myself) are still waiting for an update.

Thanks Jasmin 13. Your Ecas is showing "in process" that's what I meant. The French forum for QSW (PVTiste and the other one) shows the same trend. Again most June-July 2012 have seen "decision made" and most august september 2012 have been asked to update their "antecedant". There Ecas shows "in process" as yours. Now from those forums there is a six to eight weeks between "in process" and "decision made"

I think if they keep the after strike trend, you should see changes in your Ecas by mid November.

Hi,

we applied for QSW catagory. Federal received our application in July 2012, after around 2 months medical request received. We submitted medical after a month. Federal received the medical and on August 2013, our application status changed to In process. Same time we have a birth of child in Canada. We emailed the birth certificate in last week of August 2013. Still waiting for next step from CIC. Will it cause any delay in our application process ?

I have applied on 31st august 2012 still no ppr. its random nobody can say the exact time..

i live in montreal too, right now work here too.
my application received at 23 july, 2012, and med passed at sep,2012. they received at oct,2012. in 13 aug,2013, I got a email from CPP-O asked for my additional information, and I then i paid $5 to check my status at 16 oct,2013 , I also contact MP in my city, he replyed me at 1st oct, 2013 told me that "my application already in process, the background check underway" . Then I received the report at 16 Oct.2013 showed that theres a step called criminality in process since last year nov 2012, not finish until 7 oct,2013 when they check my application. and there are 2 steps not started yet. also in the report my information been updated, police screening and med were updated to sep,2014. and in the report theres a assesment due date at 23 oct,2013, and nothing happend today. Im really worry about they put me back in queue
also , in cic website, my app status still A/R , not even in process. and there are thousand applicants already received there ppr
