Today I received my GCSM report. Unfortunately nothing has been done on my application after they received my Medical (which was in CIO, about 5 months ago) and my application has not been touched in CPP-O.

They dont have any order for god sake. was your degree in demand ? and does it show in your GCSM that your application is in progress or ...

I hear you buddy. my degree wasn't in demand. It shows in progress but you should remember that this "in progress" only means my application is not closed yet (no decision made) but all stages other than Medical (Eligibility, Security, etc..) are blank or Not started Yet. The due date for most of these stages is about Sep 2013. However I know for fact that the due date doesn't mean that my application will be finalized by then and the officer can easily extend this due date if necessary.

p.s: no officer is assigned to my application at CPP-O

I know, I hope it doesnt take that much time. I applied for GCSM on feb 13. So I guess I will have it by 13 march, I will let you know ...

When and how did you apply for GCSM notes, and how long did they take? I applied for CAIPS (I think, it is the same thing?) by completing form IMM5563E and sending it with a copy of my work permit to ATIP-AIPRP@cic.gc.ca
That was on Jan 27th and I'm still waiting, it's been 4 weeks now, so hopefully any day now. My application was received Feb 22nd 2012 and Meds were done May 22nd.

I've also completed a similar form I found on the Immigration Quebec website to get all the info relating to my CSQ application so I can try to understand why it took 18 months to process.

yeah I used the same form and emailed it to the same address. mine also took couple of days longer than a month so you should expect to receive it anytime. I hope you will get better news than mine.

Hello, i am a new person on this forum. Firstly, sorry for mistakes. My english is not perfect)
Ok, we are three: me, my husband and son. My husband lives in canada (works permit), me and our son in russia.
Our visa office is Ottawa.

The problem is that almost a year we are waiting our medcine forms and still haven't recieved it.
Our timeline:
25.01.2012 - CSQ
02.04.2012 - docs in Ottawa
26.04.2012 - AOR recieved
meds - still waiting....

what can we do to fast the process and why its so long?
We wrote to visa office with that question, but recieved the standart answere: you must wait...

Whoa! So does that mean that they have not even started your Eligibility and Security checks yet? I thought that they began the security checks when you filed for the federal application or at least they were supposed to..

What do guys mean by having a degree that is in demand? Is it some sort of priority based on your qualifications or something?

welcome on board little bird, i am afraid that no one will be able to give u a specific answer since obviously it is hard to predict the order they follow in processing files, however i think that your husband shall pay them a visit or call them since he is already in Canada, i have added your timeline for the tracker but it would be highly appreciated to inform us did you applied for the federal part from Russia or from inside Canada? thank you and wish you all the best

I'm afraid not!! If I am not wrong harvie also ordered a GCSM report. I hope he'll have better news!!
in demand degrees are the ones that QC government needs the most so put a priority on their application to be finalized asap, but to be honest with you I'm no longer quite sure how it works!!

seems like Ottawa doesn't care or care less about Quebec applicants, i mean look at other pnp applicants, ppr are falling.

On a french forum, some applicants (november to december 2012) without an assigned visa office , already got their file "in progress"

Should we send send emails to CPP Ottawa asking for explanation on why July-September applications are being processed while March-May applications are ignored, and that is not fair ?

Criminality: In Progress
Medical: Passed
Eligibility Date Due: 2013/05/14

I can also see they did an RCMP trace in May last year which reported "No Trace". They updated my medical results on 2012/06/21 but since that date the only update on my file is a note to say my MP contacted them and they told her that no one has been assigned to look at it. So since updating the medicals, nothing has been done, so that's 8 months of nothing.

That is so lame! I am surprised they haven't even started the security checks. Do you have any travel history which may be causing the Criminality checks to take so long?

I don't think the criminality checks are taking long, i think it's just that they aren't doing anything. Like I say nothing has been updated since June. And no there's no reason why it should take long for me, I have a clear criminal record and gave them clear police check reports from Australia and the UK.
