I have a good news and would like to share:
I received RPRF and passport request today 2013/02/20.
Wish everyone get PR soon.
Thanks
yes dear pal , this is normal in many cases. you can check the tracker in my signature. personally i am confused of their order of processing since in some cases ppl wait so long and in some other ppl get the visa in 5 months. any way hopefully u will get it soon.Beakster said:Hi,
Can someone help me out here and tell me if my time line is typical? I'm going crazy here waiting. I really want to make a round the world trip before I settle down and have a family but I don't want to leave Canada until after I'm eligible to apply for Citizenship which means 2 years after I get PR which I'm still waiting on, by that time I'll be 35 so getting on a bit for starting to have kids. So I need to decide if I should keep on waiting or just make my travels, abandoning Canada and return to settle in the UK.
Arrived in Canada on temporary work permit: September 2009
CSQ Application Submitted: October 2010
CSQ Interview and CSQ Granted: 12th February 2012 (Couldn't believe how long this part took, I was expecting 6 months)
Federal Application Received: 22nd February 2012
AOR From Ottawa + Request for Medicals: May 14th 2012
Medicals Done: May 22nd 2012
Ever since ECAS has been showing "Application Received February 22nd 2012, Medicals have been received".
So that's 2.5 years so far from the beginning of my application. Is this normal?
Thanks
woooooooooooooooow. hurray giluy. congrats pal this is a very pleasant news. but tell us what is the reason that may be behind the fast processing of your file? did u lived in canda b4 or have some studies there? is there are ppl from the same mission in your country who are in line with you?giluy said:Hi all,

Hi. I was living in Toronto at the time I submitted my application and moved to Quebec 1 year after applying (6 months before my CSQ Interview). I only spoke very very basic french, like a few phrases. I did have to answer some basic questions in french during the interview. The fact that I already had a job here probably helped my success. I have heard that the requirements have changed now though and you need to take a french test so you should check that.islandbabe said:Good Morning Forum....Its good to see so man people making progress and sharing their timelines. I have a question though....How many persons have been successful by applying outside of Quebec, have never worked there or have good english but no French?
Thanks for the info.

If you haven't already, check this as it probably applies to you: http://www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/en/informations/applications-receipt.htmlislandbabe said:Thanks for the reply Beakster....no the requirements do not say you have to take the french test. I speak basic French and my husband who will be the primary applicant none at all, we start classes April 1st but our application needs to be sent in 2 weeks.
Me too! The wait is sooooo loooonggg!cvd222 said:Alas indeed
Had my file been processed at my country of nationality, I would have been a PR by now!
