no no dont panic i wanna just make sure that your visa office is cpp-o and not out canada visa office. so dear friend what my sixth sense say that you have to apply for FBI certificate as soon as possible . and send them an email that your medical is going to expire (or expired) soon and send them updated personal history since august 2012 till present . I am sure (100%) you get in process. all the best

Thanks for the advice. They already asked for my FBI Clearance which I submitted. I had equally written to them what action they would require of me given that my medicals expired last September and I did not read back from them. In other trends, I read that most, if not all, medicals (expired) were extended for another year. I don't know if that's your case as well or did you have to redo medicals? I think I should be "in process" at the moment even though it's not updated in my summary page. On the diagram page that explains the various stages in this process, they have indicated for a while now that "processing has begun." I am hopeful that they will soon give me further instructions on my next step. :)

All the august 2012 applicants are receiving ppr that's a good sign, things are moving in ottawa after a quite summer

Hi,

I got my PPR 3 weeks ago and i m planning to send my passports to CIC this week knowing that I live in USA right now.

Did anyone sent his passport from US to CPP-Ottawa recently? How did you get it back? should I pay for a prepaid envelope from FedEx or not ?!! please let me know your thoughts. it urgent!!! Thx

In their email they stated the following statement:
" If you have a mailing address in Canada: To allow you to track your passports through the mail, we strongly recommend that you purchase two (2) PREPAID Canada Post Xpresspost envelopes (National), letter-sized (318 x 241 mm), at any Canada Post retail outlet.
- Complete the mailing label on one envelope showing your mailing address in the “Deliver To” field.
- Keep a tracking number sticker from each envelope.
- Fold and enclose the self-addressed envelope in the other envelope along with your passport(s) and a copy of this request letter.
We will not use registered mail or postage coupons. If you do not submit a return prepaid Xpresspost envelope or if you provide an envelope from any other courier, we will return your passport by regular mail

Hi Loftpopo, what did you finally do to send and receive your passport to and from Ottawa? Did you buy Prepaid Canada Post Xpresspost envelopes? If yes, how did you do it and were you able to secure a tracking number?
Thanks in advance for your response and all the best!

Yes indeed , I would say most thou. In fact there are always some applications with some knid of problems. However the after strike trend is quite comforting. Again most August and september 2012 are getting PPR. And most October are in process. We (2013 applicants January-March) need to Watch in next two weeks what is going to happen for November and Deember 2012 if these applicants start seeing "in process" or receive a request to update their information, we could hope for PPR in January 2014.

Please monitor the November -December 2012 applications.

Is there anyone with November or December 2012? Please if you are just browsing register and reply, it will help all of us.

hi,can I ask some questions? Cause I applyed as a QSW July 23, and my Ecas never changed until now.
1), are you apply under PEQ programme?
2), did cic ask you for additional information after almost one year after you applyed?
3),after your Ecas change to in process, how long it takes to ppr?

My ecase changed after 4.5 months to medical recieved. And it is almost 2 months in in procrss status (no PPR yet) G'luck.

Lots of my friends same time line as you, I don't know why mine is so slow, after 15 months changed nothing.

Try sending a case-specific enquiry to Ottawa asking for an update on your file. The email address is OttPilot-immigration@cic.gc.ca. If there's a problem, they'll tell you. Likewise, it should prompt them to look through your file to figure out what is going and perhaps alert them to it (if they've forgotten it)
