wow, did you get PPR in about 3 weeks after your application went in process? that's amazing!!

But his status went in process 1 year and 8 months after he applied, so it is not really shocking ...

ecas status is still "Application Received".

but ''Medical results have been received.''

Another update

ecas status ''In Process"" :P

''We started processing your application on October 7, 2013''.

I hope I am not being too cynical but I am beginning to think that the new everybody going 'in process' trend is another scam by cic just like the mass RPRF we once saw before. It's just the timelines that doesn't make sense to me!! for example harive and I and couple of other applicants from July-Sep last year went in process almost at the same time as couple of other users, like HLR, who started their federal stage like 4 moths ago. It just makes me feel that the status is being changed to 'in process' without them actually doing anything!! this way we won't bother them much with our emails and stuffs!! :'(

sorry Jasmin13 I am not completely agree with you .I can give you reason for that..there are many QSW applicants who applied in april 2012 like Computergeek,Sampri,Skumar29 and as their file went In process , they all got their ppr or updates in 4 weeks .All these updates are coming from cpp-o. now I think they(CPP-O) are working on june to september 2012.
you just saw qsw applicant named loftpopo who applied in may 2012 went in process on 15 sep 2013 got ppr last week (in about 3 weeks). so we cannt say anything if cpp-o wants we can get ppr in 2 weeks.
I am also following the pnp nov 2012 applicants who went in process in sep 2013 got ppr after 4 weeks.
and about HLR (and many others) I think his file was in cio (nova scotia) file was processed in cio. now as his file went in process that means his file has been transferred to cpp-o. For HLR the cio was his primary visa office and all the processing was done by cio.
For me (may for you too) primary office is cpp-o. this i have seen in my GCMS report.
THIS IS ONLY IMAGINATION. :D :D

One thing I can say we gonna get our PPR soon. ;) ;)

thanks harvie. you cannot imagine how much I hope to be wrong. I might be so paranoid after seeing all sort of tricks from these visa offices. I'm gonna try really hard to stay positive (or less negative :P)

I noticed something, correct me if i'm wrong, people who got their ecas 'in process' very late got their ppr right after it, people who gets their ecas 'in process' early they don't get their ppr right after !!!

I also have the similar point of view. I think there are few other factors which play some role. e.g if you are in Canada applicant or if you have gone out of Canada during your stay etc. harvie is right as I got my GCMS notes last month and it was mentioned that my file is in CIO and not CPP-O. I sent few emails to CPP-O but I got reply from CIO. Again, we should all be hopeful.

In process does not mean the same for everyone, some applicants have their ppr weeks after , some others waits for months

thats true..
I think they are working in three or more groups ..
one is for latest applicants where CIO is primary office. CIO make all the processing and then send to CPP-O for final review i.e. PPR.. for this group IN PROCESS take less time but ppr take more time (after IN PROCESS 8 weeks to 20 weeks)
second one is like mine CPP-O is primary office. it takes time to go in process but less for PPR(2 weeks to 8 weeks)
third one is for fsw backlog from 2010 to 2011.
