Hello All,

Me and my wife are planning to apply for the FSW program and had a query to ask to the forum. Both of us are in different professions listed in the eligible list of Occupations for the FSW program.

As the number of applications received are not updated on a periodic basis we are not sure which of our occupations have reached the ceiling limit of 300 applications. Now in this situation it becomes difficult to decide which of us should be the primary applicant. One of us is a software programmer and other a civil engineer. So my questions are:-

1. If the occupation of the primary applicant has reached the ceiling of 300 will the dependent spouse's occupation be checked for the ceiling cap?
2. If the above is not true, can we officially send in two applications: one with husband as primary applicant and one with wife as primary applicant?

Looking forward to the views of some experienced people in this forum.

Best Regards.

Can you list your NOC's [both].

All FSWP 2013 applicants are connected here: http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/fsw-2013-applicants-timeline-lets-network-here-t146774.0.html;new#new

There's a spreadsheet in my signature, do view it. Check the NOC Stats / NOC Analysis pages. It'll give you an idea what is happening. The # of apps figures are genuine, however, # of global applications are just assumptions and may or may not reflect actual numbers of applications.

Thanks!!

There are no guarantees, but in your position I would apply promptly with the Civil Engineer - NOC 2131 as the primary applicant. Many folks here are suggesting that the Computer Programmer 2174 category will be full by now.

2131 has a little of bit chance left IF your IELTS & ECA is ready. If not, than you can still try your luck and send your Application ASAP. No use in applying for 2174 / 2147. They are out of question at the moment.

Hello Terki,
We calculated our scores. We both qualify.
We just don't want to apply for the profession whose cap may already be reached. Or in other ways improve our chances.
Best.

Don't bother on NOC cap for Civil Engineer. It seems longer time to filled the quota. Me, I am planning to submit my application on first week of August. That's why I am not affected with their virus.... :-\ Prepare your documents now & inquire here if you need some clarification. There are many members here ready for any helps from like you. Just post anytime & just wait for reply. It's simply.

Thanks Terki and everyone else,

What would you pick if one plans to send the application by 10 Jul (stuck with IELTS results and ECA).

0211 or 2131

Best.

What would happen if somebody submits his/her application for a category that is already full? Is he going to be automatically rejected? Or his application will be put aside for the next year?

It is not called rejected, they will simply return your application with the letter that is already full.
