Hello,

I would kindly ask for your thoughts on the following...
Scenario: An individual has engaged an employment in Canada under valid work permit. Has been working in Canada for 2 months. Has 1+ years of working experience previously in his home country. High proficiency in English.
Question: Should one apply for PR under Federal Skilled Worker class (as one does not want to wait and accumulate 2 years of Canadian working experience and apply for PR afterwards under Canadian Experience Class) or must apply under Canadian Experience Class ?

Thanks,Cheers

If you qualify under the FSW program, you should go ahead and apply. To qualify, you must:

1) be working in an occupation on "the list" of high priorty occupations

OR

2) Arranged employment - have an offer of permanent employment in any skilled occupation (NOC skill level O, A, or B) (it does NOT have to be on the list of 29 priority occupations).

You can also look into the provincial nominee program.
