Hello to Everyone,

May I know what is the Provincial Nominee Program Backlog Reduction Pilot Project all about. My questions are:

1. Is this intended for all FSW Backlog applicants like us?
2. How can we apply or do we need to apply or the province or territories will be the one to select which applicant they wish to support.
3. Is it too late now to inquire about this pilot project.

I only found out about this project today.

Any helpful information will be highly appreciated.

Thank you.

Regards,

Forever Victory

The PNP backlog reduction pilot program is a one-time action taken by various provinces to select applicants from FSW to convert into PNP files, which was done in early 2012. Provinces could only select from applicants indicating their provinces as applicants' destination in the FSW application form, and would only select a certain number of applicants per province who fell within a certain set of NOC's, usually with engineering or computer backgrounds. There is no method for inquiry as it was a unilateral action made by CIC and the provinces. If you were not selected by April or May 2012, you were most probably not selected at all.

For example, a computer programmer who applied in 2007 and chose BC as his destination may be selected by BC if BC had "computer programmer" in their backlog reduction NOC list. Each participating province was allowed to choose, I believe, around 1,000+ files, but each could only approve around 600 from applicants who submitted their forms.

Hi farmerofthedell,

Thank you so much for the information. I thought I still have a chance to apply on the said pilot project.
Haysss....

My mistake, it was an FSW pilot program, not a PNP pilot program.

I dont hope any thing good will happen in favour of litigants or backloggers due to change of kenney. He has ensured solidely & inhumanly on solid footing to spoil the dreams & life of innocent small kids, and highly skilled prospective immigrants, which they can never forget in their present life.I doubt if kenney has heart and soul in his body and if these are there then those are not of normal human beings created by GREAT GREAT GOD.

What happens if I dont respond to refund mail with in 60 days?
Do I lose the chance to request a refund at a later date?

I am an applicant in the Bellissimo/Cohen case and I have received the letter asking to take the refund in 60 days.

Thanks

Few Lines from the news

Others like Avvy Go, director of Metro Toronto Chinese and Southeast Asian Legal Clinic, was “surprised” by Kenney's departure, suggesting that he was “seen as Stephen Harper's frontman when it comes to ethnic communities.”

But Go added that some immigration advocates believe Kenney had done what he set out to do with the refugee and immigration portfolio and that it was time to move. Putting him in employment and development is a natural fit because he will still be dealing with the temporary foreign workers program and its problems, she said.

Few lines from the news.

Go also suggests that the ongoing controversy over refugee health cuts may have contributed to Kenney's move from the immigration portfolio. “This isn't the first time Kenney has been criticized,” said Go. “But maybe for the first time people other than immigration and refugee advocates are speaking out — more people echoing the concerns of the advocates and it's harder for the government to ignore.”

As for the new minister, Go met with Alexander at her clinic in early 2012 and she was impressed by his openness and willingness to listen. “He did present himself as someone who is sensible when it comes to policies, not necessarily driven by any particular ideology,” she said. “I do hope he's coming with a fresh pair of eyes and a more humanitarian approach to the whole immigration and refugee file.”

What is the use when Dictator is still there?

Kenney is not less than Hitler and is culprit of distroying thousands of small and young ones their future and many faced with dipression. He should be stripped of all powers and asked to apolozised to the backloggers and their familis with folded hands.

The really sad thing is that you *actually* seem to believe that. Sigh...
