Hallo All
I received today my CAIPS notes and found out that I have 74 score and SELDEC 4. The date of my selection decision is 30/9/2010.
Since then there is no update,I have been in background check since two years!
Do you think that my file will be closed in spite of that ?
If not do you have any idea how can speed up the processing of my file?

thanks for any ideas or suggestions,I am really so much stressed :-X

Hello Hopeful,

How do I get hold of my CAIPS notes? Shall I request this from the Canadian Embassy Manila where I filed my FSW application? Please tell me how I could get my CAIPS notes. I filed my FSW application, together with that of my brother, in January 2008 and got our acknowledgments and file numbers from the Canadian Embassy Manila on February 5, 2008. Where shall I get my CAIPS notes? And how?

FSW 2013 will not be applied retrospectively.

sac: Under the proposed point system, you can still get 71 points max as long as your sister assists you with proof of relative requirements, and if you can get CLB 9 in English and CLB 5 in French (67 points max without the French). You need a PhD to get full 25 in education, but can probably get 23 points for your Canadian master's degree. It is unjust, though, for Canadians to downgrade our Philippine degrees by two years when IQAS of the govt of Alberta has published that PH bachelor's degrees are equivalent to just 1 year less than Canadian degrees, and master's degrees are mostly equal (google "IQAS alberta philippines", first result).

I'm not discouraging anyone from any litigation; in fact I'm part of the Tim Leahy group since January. I'm just saying, prepare a Plan B if you can.

I wonder if it makes sense to you that as Plan B I am going to file for another FSW application on January 2013 while I still have my Pre-February 2008 FSW application pending with the Canadian Embassy Manila, albeit it is now up for return and refund to me by the CIC under Harper's Government. Would this be possible, in your opinion? I did not join any litigation although I was poised to do it under Tim Leahy?

There are companies online that are specialized in requesting your CAIPS notes from CIC. you can not request the CAIPS notes yourself unles you are in Canada, or have one of your relatives in Canada to request them for you.
THis is the service which I Used. IT costs 40 dollars and I Got them in 5 weeks. You have to fill an application and follow the instructions.

There are some sites however which cost around 29 dollars, but they are not so easy to use.

You can have more than one application in a different category or program; just remember to ask for refund for the rest once one of them is successful. On hindsight, one of your plan B's could have been study permit > work permit > Canadian Experience Class. It is still not too late to join any litigation though, including Tim's.

farmerofthedell: i had a Canadian study permit beginning 2009 and expired in 2011. My masteral degree at McGill University was only modular lasting 18 months. I did not realize I could have had applied for a work permit when I finished my McGill masters in management and then would have had applied for Canadian Experience Class. I am dumb and stupid. I lost an important opportunity.

Hello Hopeful,

When did you submit your FSW application? You are lucky to have been assessed with 74 score as your CAIPS notes showed you. You are nearer to your Canadian dream

Am I really lucky SAC? I Hope so
I applied in September 2007 Berlin office. Most Berlin office applications of 2007 are finalized , mine is among the fewest which stayed. I have been in backgroud check for 2 years.
By the way to know of anywhere where I can complain about the delay of my application? the CIC site does not show any mechanism to complain!!

Farmerofthedell: If I applied as FSW1 in my pre-February 2008 application, then I should not apply as FSW1 in January 2013 but in a different category? Is this what you mean?
