Well, you could always just apply for a visitors visa and go do it that way. Thats how the nurses out here do their exam over there.
Hi!

First of all I am not looking for this certificate. I have already got my PR visa. This research is to help others who are willing to apply for Federal skilled trades program.

Secondly its not easy to get visitor's visa from 3rd world countries like India, Bangladesh, Pakistan etc. Above all I don't know if you can even apply for this certificate if you are on a tourist visa. Thanks

I agree with cocknbull, it's not clear whether a visitor can apply for federal skilled trade program inside Canada.

how?
I can get the Qualification Certificate ?????????????????????????????????????????
There is no any way to get Qualification Certificate to assess if you are outside Canada. I have tried a lot. there is no hope about this. this is applied only to those who are already Living in Canada or applying from Canada province.

Here is the response I got..................

Dear ******,

The requirements for the Qualification Certificate Program - Work Experience application are still the same as last year. You are correct that the Instrument Technician is an Optional trade.

Once you submit your application with all the required information and the $450 CDN fee your work experience in the trade will be assessed and if it is approved you will get an approval letter.

If you are approved there is a theory examination that you must pass before you can be certified in the trade but no practical examination for this trade. You will not be able to challenge the examination outside of Alberta and you will need to have an Alberta employer as we will need a declaration letter from your employer before you can challenge the exam.

Please visit our website at http://tradessecrets.alberta.ca . The website has been updated since you last submitted an application.

So, I guess, the way would be to apply for the approval letter, then use the letter to try and find a job in Alberta.
Who knows, probably attaching it to a job application might help.

Hi, i am an Sr. Instrument Technician with 10 years professinal Experiences, as well as i hold Certified Control System technician CCST-III From USA. ISA , International society of Automation. i tried to a lot evaluate my professional qualification from Alberta. but i am not getting any hope they are assessing qualification which obtained from Outside Canada. what are the possiblity to get my qualification assessed from Alberta tradesecret. because simply they are saying, you have to be physically present in order to take exam.... is there any hope ?
