wow. that's a relief. thank you.
that's what I've been told. But two notaries here in rural America think otherwise.

I'll try again, see if we have UPS store here, or anywhere where they really know what they are doing.

THANKS!

Welcome Que100!
We applied the same time in August, so I think we should hear something from Buffalo the end of October, I hope sooner, but who knows...
Florida and Ans, please guys let us know what comes in the mail ;D

If I remember correctly, the notary public can certify your signed testimony certifying that the document you are submitting is an exact copy of your original. I did it in a bank and they were friendly enough to let me notarize a whole bunch of documents for free since I have an account with them. This should work just fine.

So does it mean I have to prepare a template that says that the copy is an exact copy of the original?
I went to a notary today and all she did, after explaining what things to be done, was put a note saying "witnessed original" and signed it.

I hope I can find someone who knows how to certify.
Thanks!

Buffalo is slow now. I hope they will become more efficient soon.

The notary just asked me to write it on the copy of the document and notarized my signature. I guess yours is even better. Should work either way, don't worry. If you are called for an interview you will be asked to present originals anyway.

Let's see how it goes, I'll keep you updated.

By the way, do you have any particular place in Quebec where you want to settle? I am looking at Gatineau myself.

Could you tell me what are some of the family-oriented neighborhoods in Montreal?

Montreal is very big. There are alot of clean and relatively quiet neighborhoods.

Montreal has plenty of good neighborhoods and much more safer than many other North American cities I have seen..and with the excellent public transport system, connectivity is not at all a problem...I have been here for 2 years now and I love the city for what it has to offer...

hi.

i had my documents certified by a notary public on our city library. Thank God she knows how to do it.
and it's FREE.

thanks guys for your inputs!

Just checked with the bank, and they told me that my money order has been encashed by CIC...my application packet was delivered on June 21st...now waiting for the mail ::)..hopefully it will be the AOR and request for medicals..
