I don't think it really matters where to land. For example I knew some guy who immigrated to Quebec, but landed in Toronto airport, because there was no direct flight from his country to Montreal. The important thing is where you reside. Btw does anyone know how long do you have to reside in Quebec before you can move? I'm not planning to go anywhere, I'm just curious.)))

anyway am not going in person, am planning to send them my passport by mail :P , or better I'll call to call centre to ask from them.

Thats a good idea sher_singh. At the border, they ask for quebec address because they will send your PR card to a quebec address only, since we all are QSW applicants/PR. If you have friend/relative in Quebec somewhere, give their address at the border. It worked for a friend of mine.

But, Its always better to call CIC centre, for peace of mind :) All the best.

Dear sher_singh, thank you very much for your answer.

Here's another question I would like to ask:
I moved after I filed application to Buffalo and have informed the Consulate General of the address change, but the ecas does not show the change (= it shows the old address). Is this normal?

I have the same problem, my old address still showing on the e-cas since October ..I called the CIC center and they suggested to send them a fax of the new address.

Hi Ittech,

I hope we will get PPR by E-mail around February, maximum before March end, around 4 months after we did meds. I think its a reasonable time!

I am also a PR applicant from outside Canada (US).

ittech,

I am also applying from the US. I have just sent my application for CSQ and it was received in Quebec on December 10, 2011. Since then, I haven't received any acknowledgment of receipt, nor have i had any credit card charges. Do you have any time frame for when I should first hear from them?
Should I maybe call Quebec and ask for the status of my app?
Any advice from any forum members is appreciated !
Thank you all!

For me it took four months to get CSQ back. So I think you should wait a little bit.

Hi,

New on this forum, I have a quick question regarding guess what...delays!
Here are my info
CSQ: December 2010
Federal (Buffalo) 30 December 2010
Medical check: 20 May 2011
Transfer to New York: 23 December 2011

Does anyone know from past experience how long it takes for them to process the file in New York once it s been transferred?
It's been more than a month now and I thought the transfer would speed up the process, but it seems to be a slow...
Advice fellow applicants?

Thanks in advance and take care

Mine was tranferred to Detroit and took them 3 months to send me a passport request.

as far as i know, detroit is the fastest vo in US.

in ur case, it was b/c by november 2011, they have reached the cap (issued all pr visa as planned in previous year), those who would have got their ppr in Nov, dec, had to wait till 2012 (including u!)

but still good news to u and to every1!!! congrats

ittech,
I am in the same situation, I have a green card and just sent my passport to detroit. How are you going to do with both green card and landed immigrant?

Hi,
My status has been as the following:
- Application received on May 2011
- Medical results received.
However, My address is disappeared this morning. Is It a sign of a change of my status?
Regards,
Speednab

@ speednab,

I really hope that the address disappearance is a sign that something good is going to happen to your application :)
