Is anybody here waiting more than 17 months for visa after QSW

I have applied federal on 18 jannuary 2016
I have done the medicals July 2016
Ordered GCMS notes 19 May 2017 and havent received yet.
Waiting, waiting, waiting to looong.

Is this normal. Has anybody else the same timeline.

I am in the same boat as you its now 15 months, did my medical may 2016 and now expired with no updates from the VO, still in BG check since April 2016, i am fed up and feeling that this wait will never end.

All - I wanted a quick piece of info. The PCC's I sent from India has the statement " Tphere is no adverse information in respect of Mr . XXX holder of Indian Passport No. XXXXXX issued on 23-04-2102 for the period of his stay in India which would render him ineligible for the grant of travel facilities including visa for Canada.

The above statement does not say from what period to what period I way speas in India . Do dates of stay specifically need to be mentioned in the PCC ? I understand this is a standard format that PCC is provided in India. Can anyone advise ?

No.

If you not currently residing in India then CIC immigration officer will just check if PCC was generated after your last visit to India ( mentioned in forms submitted to CIC).

If India is your current country of residence then CIC Immigration officer will confirm that PCC was generated in last 6 months or not.

Thanks . My concern cropped from the below statement made by one of the applicants

" I got rejection msg from cic. They objected mey pcc from pakistan. I am residing on my current address since 2011 and police gave me the certificate from 2011. Cic objected that i didnt show the pcc before 2011 so my application is rejected they even dont give me the right to appeal or submit another pcc."

I have not heard any complaints from CIC regarding PCC format from India.

Maybe the applicant didn't give PCC before 2011. You must submit PCC of all countries you lived for a minimum of 6 months since you are 18 including the country you are residing now.
