Does Los Angeles do PPR or processing of the application at all? Or are you being set up for an interview if your file gets transferred there?

Sent there because of red flag/interview.

That's what I was worried about. Saw that ECAS added a line saying our application was in processes as of June 7th which had me optimistic, when my wife received an email later that day stating it was being forward to Los Angeles all of my optimism left me. So is it pretty much a guarantee I'll get called for an interview at this point? Or, is it possible they can dig out more information at the local office and continue processing it without us flying all the way to the west coast?

Were you originally told by CIC your app would stay in mississauga and then moved to the visa office?

I was never told it would stay anywhere, this was my first email stating anything about processing. Passed my meds on May 9th, ECAS added a line saying it started processing the application on June 7th

If you didn't get anything saying it was staying at Mississauga, then I wouldn't take this as a negative that you are being processed at LA. Could just be that Mississauga's got too many or maybe they do want a closer look but it doesn't mean for sure you will have an interview.

that s what I meant by asking that question. I would have been more worried if you had been originally streamlined to Mississauga and then moved to LA visa office
