I called IRCC today they said all steps are completed and my final approval is pending and give it some time, my Latest update show: you passed medical May 29 and in Final decision it says May 28th Your application is in progress
Any idea what final approval is?
It is weird that you have FD on your GCKey, yet the agent said your final approval is pending. Final approval in your case is most likely the approval email coming through. They can't say that your approved(because in the right technical terms you aren't really approved till you are issued an approval email), so they instead use portal/PPR/RFV email as the final approval.
Ahh that's a breather, I know for sure on 27th May my Tracker showed Medical extended to May 24th 2025 and on May 28th around 12pm my Medical on GC key changed to May29th pass and around 4 pm the final decision column changed to May 28th in process. Latest update was still Medical pass

Yes, some VO tend to send P1 within a week, most take a couple of weeks to a month, and a few take even 3 to 4 months. Hopefully, you are in a nicer bunch and get p1, P2, and eCOPR soon.
@iSaidGoodDay you are spot on with your assessment . Final approval only is announced by iRCC when ecopr is available . FD date means stages are complete and you are in queue for portal emails .
They use different terms shying away from using “final approval “ . That is I guess the protocol . Like in my case they have been saying for 2 weeks that all stages done and you are in landing queue
Ya I think so it definitely depends on the VO, I think the Sydney VO originally receives all files, I read somewhere that they can approve applicants who are in Canada less than 3 years or outside Canada, if they receive files for CEC with more than 3 years stay inside Canada they have to transfer it to Edmonton. Now Edmonton approves it and sends to Etobicoke/Montreal. So, this extra buffer of transferring files may be the reason for the Delay.
Yes, and some of the PNPs are usually retained in Sydney, who typically do the initial work for all applicants. Hence if you see the history whenever IRCC pauses invites the following month Sydney will approve some PNPs otherwise PNPs take longer. As IRCC has been slow with invites last few months, Syndey has been very fast with PNPs in the same last 5-6 months.
Not to worry . Hearing on groups that no one has tracker updated today . Even I called IRCC yesterday and that should have updated which has not happened . Update queries pending to run probably
