Does anyone know when the IRC shuts down for holidays? I feel like I'm going to end up not hearing anything on my oath until next year. Everything is marked complete except for Ceremony which is marked not started

In the same boat, seems like IRCC prefers to marinate the application before processing it.

Yes, the December 16th GU actually corrected the glitch. Many people, including me, had our application history ”erased” (as if nothing had happened on our files). People got a GU between Dec 12 and 14 that did this, and it was confirmed to be a glitch.

So while a Dec 16th GU could mean actual movement on a file, it is most likely the general “correction update”.

Yes this could be the reason…..I too got a ghost update on dec 16

IRCC closed Dec 26-27 and Jan 2nd.

Doesn’t matter…I think we are not gonna hear from them until February….I emailed them and they said my application is in queue for the next event

Hey folks,

Just received a letter from IRCC requiring me to appear in an interview on MS teams in January 2023. Only my bg and test are complete and because i took the test from outside Canada, i was asked to submit full scans of my passport and government issued id on November 17, 2022 which I submitted on November 23, 2022.

Now i am back in Canada and I already informed ircc about my return with boarding pass and travel itinerary serving as proof of my return.

What should i expect in this interview? Anyone else have gone through this situation? Kindly share your experience as i have no idea why is this required at this stage. Any feedback in this matter is greatly appreciated.
