People whoever's using immigration lawyers/consultants, were you able to link your application to gc key? I got AOR today with Application number and I tried linking it to GC key but got this message. - Based on your information, we found 1 application. we see that representative is tied to your application. your representative has access to this application. Dis-associate your representative first by filling xyz form and link application etc.

We got the same message. We’re able to see the status of our application, but that’s it. If we change it so that we get the updates/notifications/emails, then our immigration lawyer won’t. We have to trust that he’ll forward us all emails and notify us of any updates.

We do have ECAS just in case, but does ECAS gives you clear update like Sponsor approval or medical request sent etc?

I don’t know yet. We just got AOR 6 days ago, and we can see our application is ”In Process”, but we haven’t heard about SA, Biometrics, or medical request. I don’t know if we’ll be able to see them in ECAS or if our lawyer will get them and have to notify us. Time will tell!

So, I have to ask after looking at the tracking spreadsheet even though I know there most likely isn't a logical answer. Why is it that some countries, India in particular, get AOR so fast? There are people from March already getting AOR and every month that is the country that gets populated first before anyone else.

This has been covered multiple times. There are a lot of Indian applicants (as percent of total), this is an English language forum (over represented here), and because not a visa waiver country, more likely to be outland.

I appreciate the reply, I thought that over representation on this forum might be the case. Just frustrating when we are all so anxious!
