Doubt it that any system would be so irresponsible that they provide your such a portal and then "randomly" select people to process. Everyone paid for their application, everyone who applied qualify for becoming a citizen. I would just assume that it's much slower to get AOR online (which is already odd since online should be faster since it's more straightforward). So far there is still not enough evidence or time to say that it will actually be slower to apply online.
It's so frustrating! I was so excited to apply online and thought the process would be faster! It's May and still no AOR. And you can't even track your application

I actually prepared a paper application but did not send it out. I'm waiting on ATIP documents to see how IRCC is handling online applicants. I'm still optimistic that they will eventually process our applications. Seems like December applicants already have been scheduled for oath on June 2nd.
I am certain that they will process online applicants. Issue is will it be slower than paper based? No one can answer that.

I am stressing cos unlike most of the citizenship applicants who don't care much about the processing timeline, I do care cos of personal reasons that I need to move out of the country after getting citizenship for few years due to personal reasons.

That being said, it could go either way, suddenly they might process the online applicants altogether or stick to slow processing. Ughh little frustrating.

Sorry I'm just a bit confused as I applied online. The physical presence automatically input the date. It says application date March 1st but I submitted it on Feb 28th! I hope I did not screw up the date! Ugh

If your application date was March 1st, you could not submit it earlier than that. You’re allowed to submit it after your application date, but not before that. If it was a paper application, it would be returned to you. I’m not sure how online application works in this matter.

I added you to the 2021 March applicants! Good luck!

Hello! Could you please update the tracking sheet? My application is in process as of May 10, 2021.

My BG check was completed May 18.

I will be applying for my spouse, are you guys applying with online or paper?

I know you have to receive invitation before you send online application. There is eligibility that I used last night, It gave me option to create and fill the survey and it said you can apply online. Which is better - ONline or Paper?

Online is high risk, high reward. Once AOR is received processing is fast for those applicants. But getting AOR is taking a lot of time (& may increase further). In last 4-5 months they processed online applications only from December.

In January or Feb, I would have recommended online. But today paper application looks safer option. There are still quite many unknowns in online process.
