Took the oath ceremony today. ALL DONE, finally. And I am quite sure I butchered French well.

Me too!! One question, I don't think they mentioned how we should send the oath form during the zoom ceremony, so we just need to follow what's in the invite, correct?
My wife's ceremony last week instructed them to wait for an email, then reply back to it.

Interesting, I wrote to Vancouver Office. Their response is faster than IRCC Web Form. The reply seemed to be written by human, despite it provided no additional info lol. They just want me to be patient ....

I have sent a mail to the email address from where I received the test invitation. My query was regarding whether they received my travel documents copies. They responded promptly. I just hope we receive the oath invitation soon. Fingercrossed.

For those who already did the oath and receive their certificate, did you submit the signed oath form as instructed on the oath form? Or did you reply to the email you are sent right after the oath ceremony?

Hi , I took the oath yesterday and I asked to expedite my certificate because I have a flight coming soon. They asked me to send the flight tickets and a legit proof that I need to travel urgently (someone needs me urgently where I need to travel or something) and then they will study my case and then decide and let me know!!!

This never happened with anyone before, usually if you give them a ticket they approve the expedition instantly. Is there anything I can do more to convince them? Can I pay any fees or something?

I do not think they accept extra payment to expedite the certificate.

If they requested, the only way is to show them a ticket and explanation letter in this case. I assume that their review will take some time and possibly delay the delivery time for the certificate.

I passed test on Oct2021. Every step is updated.
Still waiting for Oath Invitation.
How can I know file status.( I already sand web form inquire but no reply yet since 5 weeks).

Is it good idea to approach local MP?

I approached my local MP who got back to me - I am scarborough office - and unfortunately they said they couldn’t do anything as citizenship application were put on the back burner for 6 months due to the pandemic and the need to do other visas such as PR - so they are super backlogged for the oath. They said that 12 months for decision made was very good but that for oath nothing they can do because the visa office are short staffed and super back logged - they told me it could be another 2/3 months before i take my oath. You can try but i doubt they’ll be able to help - i passed my test in October as well, paper application sent and received feb 04 of last year

Didn't take long. 4 or 5 days after ceremony it arrived by regular mail.

Just checked my application through status tracker: everything is marked as completed! Waiting for the oath citizenship invite. My timeline in my signature.

I just got my ATIP/Privacy notes (submitted Dec, processed Jan, received today). It said


Residence: Not Started (with due date 2022/April)
Language: Not Started (with due date 2022/April)
Prohibition: Not Started (with due date 2022/April)
Criminality: Passed
Knowledge: Not Started (with due date 2022/April)
Oath: Not Started

I was like ... what the heck. On the new tracker it said

Language Skills: In Progress
Physical Presence: In Progress
Prohibition: In Progress
Background Verification: Completed
Citizenship Test: Not Started
Citizenship Ceremony: Not Started

Paper application here. Is the "one-year" from the date of AOR, but not the date they receive the package?

How frustrating.
