The cEC processing has gone from 7 months to 10 months, and FSW / PNP is off the charts. It was 8-9 months pre COVID.

How long did it take to process an Express Entry application?
Table 35 displays the time, in months, that IRCC took to process 80% of applications under each program. In 2019, IRCC did not meet the processing standard of finalizing 80% of all applications sourced via Express Entry within six months. The processing time for Express Entry, overall, was eight months. As an alternative measure of processing times, 60% of applications finalized in the 12-month period ending on December 31, 2019, were completed within the six-month service standard.

Data is operational and as such should be considered preliminary and subject to change.

  • Processing times refer to the time in which 80% of applications were finalized by IRCC. The processing time is measured from the day a complete application is received until the time a final decision is made by an immigration officer.
If a person only enters Canada directly from USA would application be eligible for exemption, irrespective of nationality ? . Not sure what non-discretionary purpose means can you shed some light on this ?

Based on this the exception list it says this !

All other foreign nationals
To be eligible, you must meet one of the following requirements:

  • You must be travelling directly from the US for a non-discretionary purpose.
  • You must be exempt from the travel restrictions and be travelling for a non-discretionary purpose”

They explain and list examples of non-discretionary purposes here, PR immigration isn't included:

Entering from US does not by itself make you exempt from travel restrictions. The exemption is for applicants who are resident in the US and are entering Canada to settle as PRs.

I must have been mistaken in thinking that applicants from the US would be put into the "exempt" category because of their country of residence. So to clarify, only those with immediate family members who are applying from the US would be probably put into the "exempt" category? I understand that we might not be aware of the IRCC's internal workings, but might you have any guesses?
If you are a resident of US, you are exempt from travel restrictions as long as your travel is non-disctionary.

IRCC considers travel to Canada from the US for the purpose of settling as a PR as non-discretionary.

My medicals are still not cleared. Should I raise a webform and ask if anything is needed from me?

I have a question please
my diplomas are not written in French or English, and I did not know that in addition to the translations I would have to attach copies of my dipomes which contain the translator's cache, this is a new condition published in January 2021.

Should I wait for the IRCC to return to redo all the translations or else it may pass?

Hi all, just checked my account but saw my application/profile updated status but no changes in my application. No emails either. Did anybody face this?
