That she wants to visit her husband as it's been a long time and it is not for tourism purpose. Also mentioned that the SSP Application is on process.
When did you apply for sponsorship and and after applying for Trv did you have to prove that she will return? How long is this visa for?

@Hoprooter - What did you put as a reason for the visit? Did you apply online or through VFS-India?
So in the form, I filled the Reason- Others and in the column next to it, Covid-19. In the letter, That she wants to visit her husband as it's been a long time and it is not for tourism purpose. Also mentioned that the SSP Application is on process.

It was applied online.

Feb applicant 7months till now no AOR1 yet. i dont know what's going on what's gonna happen it just made me hopeless
Same feeling, being hopeless and seriously frustrating. My wife family and relatives back home putting pressure on me regarding no news on her PR process. This current feeling is worse than Covid19:rolleyes:

Thanks for your reply @Hoprooter

I'm in the process of applying for a visitor visa online but getting confused with this requirement.

"Before you travel
Before travelling to Canada, make sure you have what you need to show you’re exempt from the travel restrictions if you’re outside the US, and evidence that you’re travelling for an essentialFootnote1 (non-discretionary) purpose."

Any advice?

They have started reopening offices and will process applications received during the pademic.

I am not sure where you got that information in the quotes. That would apply only for immediate family members of citizens/permanent residents who are traveling to Canada to stay less than 15 days !!

If you are traveling to stay in Canada for more than 15 days, then the "essential (non-discretionary) purpose" does not apply to you.

I didn't get your specific concern. What are you confused over? Just make sure you don't mention tourism.

Here's an odd one. I took my medical in June, received an e-mail today from the IRCC webform that my medical was received and sent to the correct person, but nothing has changed anywhere else, and they didn't say passed or not.

I have added my wife's medicals which was done for Visitors( which was done as we are applying for TRV during a pandemic) to the PR file and yesterday they updated the file mentioning that it was passed. So, I updated it in the 2020 sheet as well. Just for group's reference and I think they are back to work again in NS

They actually waited until there were no new cases in NS. This is absurd, what will happen if/when 2nd wave hits? another 5 months to the dumpster?
