AOR1 is the letter/email IRCC sends the sponsor acknowledging that they’ve received your application (usually sent minimum 1-2 weeks after your app been delivered)

I wouldn't say Min 1-2 weeks. More like 2 weeks average recently however people have been waiting up to 4-6 weeks for AOR1... In some circumstances. 1 week is luck

Hey @DiiDii That's why I specifically used the word MINIMUM, 1-2 weeks is the shortest amount of time you can expect to wait. I mentioned this number so they know not to expect communication from CPC right after their package is delivered.

CPC Mississauga is operating on a skeleton crew. All non essential personnel are staying home until further notice.
They need to stop accepting new applications or they will get backlogged so badly our apps would take 10 years to process.....

I have been wondering about this, if it was possible to have information in GC Key before getting the AOR1.

So does this mean you are able to link your paper application before receiving AOR 1?

Previously it seems to have been possible in a short period before receiving the AOR1, i.e. 24-48 hours before the AOR1 email is received. So don't expect that you'll be able to get important information substantially before you get the AOR1 - and trying every two hours to check in and link is probably not worth the effort, the time difference is minimal.

Everybody, write to minister of immigration and ask to give all our spouses visas on compassionate/humanitarian grounds, before this pandemic gets worse and to prevent a backlog.

You wait... The system isn't instant and they work separately from each other. Emails are sent in batches.

I have the reverse as I received my SA email but still not showing in ECAS. Wouldn't worry too much about it for now.

Hello everyone. We submitted our application February 17, 2020 and it was received February 21, 2020. We sent it via XpressPost and used a tracking number to find out when it was delivered. We still have not received any information from IRCC and am beginning to wonder if our application has been lost. Because we have not had any correspondence from IRCC with an application number, we cannot use any form to find get any information about our application. Any suggestions?
