Don't worry. as long as you don't get it back in the mail. You'll be fine. Unfortunately some people end up waiting longer than others. I'm still waiting for SA wil many in FEB have gotten it. Ever case is different. Would be nice if everything was done in order.

Hi everyone,

My application was received on Feb 24 (Sydney, NS), but I did not receive an AOR1. Should I be concerned? According to the tracking sheet, everyone else from Feb 24 already received the AOR1 on March 6/7.
Thanks!
Too soon for you to worry. You will hear something soon. Some people get lucky and hear right away. Some get in a lazy pile as I'll call it. Some even get misplaced and logged in later. I've seen it happen in January.

This is the same case with me (I am PA). I spoke with my doctor yesterday, and they said it sometimes takes a few days for them to receive all the results for blood work, x ray, etc. and then they have to enter results, I believe. My doctor quoted me 7-10 business days from the time I took the exam for them to be uploaded. I am in the US.

You have a lot more waiting to do after this hurdle. This is not the time to be worried. You usually get a receipt That shows you've done it. Everything in this process is not instant gratification. If anything this process will teach you the most about patience and waiting. Why worry about tomorrow when you have today to enjoy. Enjoy today. It will link in time.

Hi.., is it necessary for a sponsor to be in canada throughout the process?

No, if the sponser is a Canadian citizen. Yes, if the sponsor is a PR. If you’re a PR, not worth the risk of leaving. People have been refused before because of it stating you don’t meet eligibility requirements to sponsor.

You can take short vacations. only way to fall out of status is if you leave for long extend periods of time....

Hello, So we recieved the followring request letter from CIC on our GCKey account:

"Schedule A: A separate and newly completed Schedule A Background
Declaration form (IMM 5669) bearing an original signature. The document on file is missing
your Personal History (Section 6) from September of 2019 to present. Please provide complete
information. This must be received at this office by: 2020/03/16"

I have two questions:
1) When it says bearing an original signature, does that mean we fill the form, print it, sign with pen, scan and then upload to GCKEY or can we electronically sign it, validate and upload it?

2) since wife doesnt have access to a scanner and no closeby shops, can we use mobile scanning aps as an option?

Thank you

1) Sounds like they need a handwritten signature, double check the checklist and see what docs required handwritten signatures. This is probably one of them.

2) would you risk the application on a camscanner app? That's up to you but I suggest to make an effort to get somebody to scan this for your wife, be it through a friend or business... especially if this form generates barcodes

True, but you have to be cautious and careful with how long you’re away. I’ve seen too many cases where people have gotten themselves into trouble.

The form did have a requirement for handwritten signature but it does not generate barcodes. I guess you are right, I will try and get the scanned copy.

Does it matter if I upload the documents from Canada to her GCKey account or does she have to do it herself? Basically, will that be a problem if I upload documents for her? I know it may sound like a stupid question but one of my friend suggested that she should be uploading it since she is in the home country and I am in Canada and CIC may know where the document got uploaded from...
