Congratulations!
Next step is passport request (If PA is from visa required country)
Once you get the request, you may have to send passport to VO. They will stamp visa and send it back along with COPR.

May I ask what is your timeline? And which country PA is from?
Hello! I'm the PA, I'm from Portugal, Sponsor is my wife (Canadian Citizen), so I'm Visa exempt.

And I'm currently in Canada visiting, do you know if it's possible to finish my process without living Canada?

That is the ghost update. Once you check your account using online tool, you can see "Account/Profile updated" then once you log out and log back in, it will go back to "Submitted"

Check your account tonight or within this week and check if you'll see any changes. :)

Sorry, I do not know on how to proceed on this scenario.
Probably, someone else in the group can advise you or else you can try calling IRCC.

You don't have to leave Canada to complete landing. Once you received PPR, send a web form query regarding your situation, they will guide you with new procedure.

Yes but you should update your address to in Canada so that they know. Recently they've been dealing with such cases by having you send passport to Ottawa I think. Then they send you copr and I believe pr card directly.

You don't mention but how long have you been in Canada? Still well under the six months given at entry? You may have to look at extending your stay.

We got the PPR about ten days after the pre-arrival. But I wouldn't count on that, it seems to vary a lot by region and country, and previous experience here was that PPR was mre directly linked to decision made. (We didn't see decision made so I can't say in our own case)
Hey! Would you please like to share your timeline?

Hi,
Does anyone know how the biometrics are used in application processing?
Is it possible for them to make final decision without biometrics?

The reason I ask this is, when I became PR back in 2018, I was never asked for biometrics. Why wont they make an exception and collect biometrics at port of entry during this pandemic?

File gone to Applicant's VISA office, they take 6 to 8 months depending which country some do even faster
Thanks for your reply

Do you have any experience when the letter (SA) saying "The Application for Permanent Residence for your relative(s) will be forwarded to the visa office in London for further processing." is this normal? I think they did not send yet cuz if they sent it should be "has been forwarded to the...etc"

appreciate if anyone can share their experience.

I called IRCC again today, they said that my application was received on Feb 13th and that they had started looking at it BEFORE covid hit, but that it hasn't been picked up again. I was given a temporary application number and told I could contact IRCC again through webform to request an update, but that I might just get another generic response. I sent the webform explaining my situation but am not feeling hopeful. I think somehow my application got lost in the grey area between covid shutdown and things starting back up..
