February 2020 Spousal sponsorship Outland

Hi,

We got a 'decision made' under 'Sponsorship Application Status' in ECAS on Sep 9th, but didn't receive any SA letter in email.

Mine says decision made too for SA, was
Updated today but didn’t receive anything either. I guess it’s lagging a day or two. Congrats on approval though!

Same situation with us, got SA Decision Made last week Thursday but no email yet. Little tensed now..

I called IRCC on Monday and they told me that there was an update on my wife's file and the update was that they issued a medical request last Friday (September 18th, 2020). Today is almost 24th and there is no letter, nothing in ecas and nothing in our application on ircc website.

Yup I've had the Decision Made since September 4th... my wife has since then received her biometrics request, she passed them, and so on. Until today, no letter received.
I called IRCC many times, the last time being Thursday on September 17th. A very kind agent answered and was finally willing to help me instead of answering the normal robotic answers of COVID 19, delays, etc etc (I swear if their toe is hurting it's because of COVID 19...)
She told me to my surprise that they wanted to send it by mail (Canada post) and due to COVID 19 they were not sending those yet... I asked if it was possible to send it by email, she said "yes sure, let me request that! But don't expect it to happen in a few minutes!! It will take a couple of days for them to notice my request". Still shocked by how they were going to make me wait for that letter (which I need to send my wife's Certificat de Sélection application in Quebec), I said okay.
I called yesterday since the "couple of days" had passed, the agent told me that he has seen the request that his colleague has sent but he does not have an estimate of when the email will be sent. When I asked roughly how many it should take, he answered : a couple of weeks sir.
A push of a button, an email... yup.
So I got that going for me

Hey everyone! The much awaited update is finally here..
I got the Bio-metric request for my Wife (PA) today . ECAS still shows In Process.. Any idea how many days it takes after BIL for medical request and sponsor approval?
My timeline is as follows -

App received - Feb 27th
AOR1 - March 12th
BIL - Sep 23rd.

You sure you checked the right portion on the cic website. When you log in and click on check application does it state you have an action to take? It should. Then once you go into your application at the bottom you will see your letters.

I Got All but the SA letter. But ECAS says decision made so I know that's approval.

Try and look again within your cic login page.

Hey, my wife's from Lebanon. Her file hasn't been transferred to VO in Beirut yet though. She has passed her biometrics and her background check is being done. Awaiting further instructions...

The lack of compassion is absolutely shocking to say the least (and to stay as respectful as possible)...
Yes there is a health issue *if people don't follow protocols*! We are saying we WILL follow protocol. Mandatory 14-day quarantine, anything they ask of us! But please just get them here! Second wave has already started, this is really bad news for all of us! I have pleaded them on multiple occasions to work hard for 2 months while we were were between the first and second wave. The risk was lower, we had a small break.

My documents were received on 21st Feb but no AOR1.
My husband called IRCC last Thursday and one agent told there was some progress made in March and kept call on hold for one hour. My Husband called again and we came to know that our documents were returned in March.
More bad luck that IRCC has sent them to Immigration lawyer's India address which were not received due to Lockdown. Agent said docs were sent by mistake and should have been sent to Sponsor.
My Husband called third time to confirm this and agent said we are processing files before 12th Feb. He explained the scenario and agent said he doesn't know why the documents were returned By Sydney office and why they were sent to wrong person. Its been more than 6 months so he has asked us to submit the application again.

I have raised webform last Friday and waiting for the reply. At least we should be informed of the document which was not right. They have not returned the fee yet and they didn't inform this in any of the webforms we raised in past many months.

Please suggest how should we handle this ?

I had submitted application originally in September 2019, but they had returned it on October 8 , to address of the agency that had handled my initial immigration , instead of sending to sponsor . We had not involved any lawyers for spousal sponsorship . and the package went around and in circles and finally called and asked them to remove any other addresses saved on our files in system and got the package returned to me in February 2020 after a long wait , with reason of a missing a single form on travel history , though all of travel history details were there in application.

I would suggest to check with them once more , the package must be returned back to the sydney office since it was not received. If not then initiate a new application which would save you a lot of time .

Thanks for your reply.. Yeah. I have started working on new application. We hired a consultant in India who mentioned the lawyer in one document. Even though the lawyer is based out in Canada not sure how did they find lawyer's India address ?
Can you tell if they mentioned the reason on call, email or in the returned documents?
and Sorry if I have misunderstood this, but are you saying that the travel details were present and only one form on travel history was missing? Did you include the missing form and resend the same documents?
