@rajkamalmohanram our details are not updated in the sheet. Kindly update. My oath date is 26th Aug. received oath invite 13th Aug.
my wife’s oath date is on Nov 9th.
Trying to expedite that but IRCC sent a canned reply.
There are lot of webform requests. Additional document request of passport pages, delayed applications etc are complicating them more with huge number of webform requests.

That too requesting expediting after oath date is set would confuse them more because dates are being set after confirming appointments with oath team(citizenship judge, citizenship officers and tech team etc). So thats why possibly you wont get positive response unless there is real emergency.

Today we saw that someone's oath date got postponed that too by IRCC without candidate requesting on it. So its better to not do anything once we get an oath date.

Postponed by applicant or IRCC?

I wonder what happens when they fix a ceremony date for an applicant and then the applicant ask for urgent processing or postpone. Is this spot lost or filled by assigning other applicants?

I worry that its lost as with the intelligent teams we have with cic, i hardly doubt that they can be efficient to utilize the seat as they dont care about backlogs.

That's a waste in a time of backlog. I think that's why they started calling to check with applicants about ceremony dates. Because once assigned, they cannot re-assign it. Some people seem to be outside Canada at the time of oath and ask for postponing, and this exacerbates the backlog

I got few calls from Ottawa and ON last week and I didn’t answer those calls as I thought they’re scam. Do they call from specific center or do they leave voicemail? I live in BC

IRCC is calling people for over a year now. Like we updated the mail settings to get all cic.gc.ca emails, we need to attend all calls(private number or any area code of Canada or non-Canada(-officer might be in Cancun vacation and calling to schedule for oath ;) ) ).

So please start attending all calls including scam, if you want to get rid of cic from your life.

I was surprised to know they are calling too. I also don't answer strange numbers. I don't think they would leave a voice mail, but I assume they should try again later (but who knows when) or try another means.
