Wow they wrapped up feb apps really quick, although some jan and early feb applicants are still awaiting. I think march and April would wrap up early too based on the assumption of low apps as a result of covid.

if they dont issue AOR for 1/4th of the applicants then they can easily wrap up Jan, feb and move on to Mar, Apr, May too :D

I am still waiting but its only 25th hence i need to have more patience. the worse case is that people in Jan still waiting and getting AOR till today and they reached end of Feb and possibly they would move to March this week :confused::rolleyes:

I am not quite sure about that by looking at the spreadsheet. It looks like only 40% of February applicants got AORs. That's no where near to wrap up. LOL

ecase for my application appeared today with 2 lines.

1- We received your application for Canadian Citizinship (grant of Citizinship) on February 24,2020
2- We sent you Correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on August 17,2020

Should I expect they will send the book by mail! Also, does this mean the processing time calculated from February 24 or from August 17!!

I heard that the status from Application Received gets changed to In Process which is when they start your processing of the application. No idea but people dont receive test date without this status change as per the tracking sheets. So i dont think that anyone from Jan is In Process yet.

Yes, this is also an indication that they will stop sending hard copies (possibly because of COVID) but am confused for processing time !

I know , but if you check the CIC website it mentioned processing time starts from the date we received your application!

I think so too. They're definitely ahead of what we see. I know a couple of people from March 10th got their applications returned to them last week so whoever is opening packages at CIC and checking them for completeness is definitely mid to end March packages by now.
As for those with late AORs in Jan and Feb, I agree with everyone who suggested that the person processing them is on vacation.
Also, I saw in a news article somewhere that IRCC's in-person services will be open as of September 14th (which should include tests and interviews I think, so people should start receiving invitations soon...)
PS: looking on the spreadsheet, it seems like March had the most # of applicants compared to April and onwards...

They dont even know much about the application till AOR is issued hence that statement is just for namesake ;)or else we would have gotten our security clearances in 6 months for which they dont have any delays of covid. :D

When I was filling in the application and placing check-marks for some sections, it automatically eliminated the sections below ( for ex. if you put no whether you have a representative, the application eliminates the question whether the rep. is paid). However, when I printed it, those checkboxes were there and not eliminated, but just empty. Is that ok ? did you guys have the same?

Few people in this forum reported that they have left it empty and received AOR, and few other people used black pen to tick the check box after printout (just in case) and they also received AOR. So based on this observation, it seems IRCC agent doesn't care of those check boxes, based on earlier 'use of representative' question NO answer.
