Yes, He is autistic.. Not sure on the approval % possibilities. Looking for some expert advice
@Divagar06, I don't think you need to bother that much about this. If you were going to be refused on the basis of your kid's medical, it would have happened before now. Importantly, your overall status as posted looks good...

@legalfalcon Hi, can you please tell me how long it will take to hear from IRCC on my medicals because they expired yesterday? How long does it take to receive re-med or extension after expiry??

There is no time frame as such. After your meds have expired or are expiring, they will be sent for reassessment where the IRCC Health Branch will make a determination on whether to extend them to ask you for a re-med. If a re-med is required, you will be informed accordingly.

Also, if your meds are extended, it will be reflected on your MyCIC account.

Would you mind sharing some thoughts on whether an application may be undergoing security screening even though from the IRCC GCMS notes show the security being "Not Started"? Is this a possibility at all or does "not started" necessarily mean it has not started?

Thank you very much.

In some cases it can happen as the security may have bene initiated and it may not have been updated in your GCMS. Though rare, but it can happen. Security only started after it is initiated by IRCC. A security screening request is a message transmitted to National Security Screening Division (NSSD) and screening partners.

To read on how security screening is done, when it is initiated and the security screening manual, see https://bit.ly/3b4cTUr

You should send a webform and clarify it. Most likely they may have searched the Field Operations Support System (FOSS) and found someone with the same name. It does happen sometime.

AOR Feb 28 2020.
Still waiting.
CEC Inland with spouse.

@legalfalcon Need your expert advise. Its almost been a year (11+ monthe) but security has not yet started. Checked with MP and got response that Eligibility is finalized but no updates on my application.
I am CEC, PNP Inland with all dependents In Canada.
Is it possible that security is in progress but showing as not started. Any idea why Inland applications are taking time for Jan - May 2020 applicants?

CPC: Sydney, NS
Eligibility: Passed
Criminality: Passed
Security: Not Started
Info Sharing: Complete

Security starts when IRCC sends a request to the National Security Screening Division (NSSD) and screening partners. However, for inland CEC applicants the security is a very quick process as most applications only go though a record check and not a comprehensive screening. To read on record check vs comprehensive screening, see https://bit.ly/3apWglN

In your case, most likely the issue seems that no one has worked on the application. Also, check if your eligibility is conclusively passed, or just has a note from an analyst or assistant. Only after the eligibility is conclusively passed, will the security be initiated. See my previous post on this at #4,004

Have you requested your GCMS notes? Since you are an inland applicant you can request your GCMS notes through either IRCC or CBSA yourself via the ATIP portal <https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/welcome.do>

To read on GCMS notes from CBSA vs IRCC see https://bit.ly/2NsJ7AA

The GCMS notes will let you know when was the last time your application was worked on. Many applications are in the same state as yours where they have been sitting for months and no one has touched them.

Hope this helps!
