Even for FWS-Outland, there are more applications approved from July/August than from February. My guess is that they skipped most of the December to March applications. They are now processing the ones that they have hope to complete in about 6 months.
If this is true, its absolutely ridiculous on IRCCs part to keep Jan - March applicants in Limbo. They can achieve numbers either way by approving those applicants. I don't get their calculation.

You can check the results here. Keep in mind that this website is not official, it does not contains all the files and it is not necessarily up to date.
There is no clear trend, but there are 10 PPRs for AOR February 2020 and 16 PPRs for AOR September 2020. Percentage-wise it is 12% for AOR February 2020 and 17% for AOR September 2020.
In my opinion this should not happen, since they are citing the lack of agents for the reasons of delay and all these number refer to outland applicants.

I noticed that trend too. I think they are focusing on July - December 2020.
These people will be within the six month completion time. Plus their meds will be valid for longer and they don't have to deal with expired COPR in the long run with the current travel restrictions.

What is the status, has your eligibility passed?
Hi @legalfalcon My eligibiilty was required officer's review last time I checked which was back in Nov.
I will be calling them on Monday. Could you please tell me if this could be a good sign?
Have you heard of them asking for current address before? Thank you very, very much.

Nice. I just received GMC notes ordered 30 days ago.
Again, confirmed that nothing happened since May 2020 till Jan 2021.

Hi all,
I just called IRCC and they said that my application has passed all stages and placed in a queue for
final decision! Finally a good news after such a long wait!

Do you guys know how long it takes once it is placed for final decision? Can someone comment on this
please? I would greatly appreciate @legalfalcon to weigh in on this as well.
Thank you guys so much.

If you're inland, hopefully it'd be soon. However, if your case is outland, then there isn't much hope or clarity yet.

Hi I am inland. Thank you for your response. Do you know how long it is taking for inland applicants now to
hear the final decision?

Hi, the last time I checked was late November when I received my last GCMS notes. Nothing was passed by then except medical.
I never received any GUs except the one in September which was later revealed to be a system glitch.

Thanks for your reply. Did you contact the call center to find out your status recently like in January or Feb. Perhaps some of your stages were already passed then? Or is it likely that they remained unchanged for the whole time and suddenly were passed quickly in a few days ?

If there has been an update on your application, then your eligibility would have been reviewed. Will you be calling from Outside Canada?

It will depend on whether you are inland or outland. IF you are inland, then you should get a COPR soon. If you are outland, then it may take way longer.

There are many applicants who have their application approved as per their immigration notes, but have been waiting for a long time.

Its not about good or bad, it can be either. All applicants have to have valid meds when they have their application is being processed. If the meds expire or about to, IRCC will send them for reassessment to the Health branch and the Reginal Medical Office makes a determination on whether to extend them to ask or a re-med.

Now, themas extension that IRCC can give is 6 months, bu when you do re-med you get medicals valid for another year. Now you can read it as either IRCC thinks that you won't be able to land in Canada in the next 6 months, do they asked for re-meds, or you can see as it being a good thing as now as soon as your application os approved, you will be issued a PPR, without having to then worry about the meds/
I totally think it’s a good thing. I’m sure with everything going on landing in 6 months is too close. So I’m happy that I at least won’t have the pressure of expired copr. But just wondering if they had the post 18 March rule and knew that most people won’t be able to come Bcz of that rule why then issue extensions and copr that expires in 6 months??

Hi @legalfalcon Thank you so much for your reply. Do refusals happen after application placed for final decision? Do they ask for more documents
after this?
