RPRF request means that you have cleared the major part of your application provided background and security checks come in positive. My thoughts you shouldn’t worry much as your application will move fast once the travel restriction is lifted. Good luck !!

RPRF fee request usually means that eligibility is recommenced passed or passed. It's a good sign and as mentioned it means clearing the most important stage in the process!

This is interesting - I thought RPRF request is raised only after Eligibility is approved.

What is your Province, VO and your country of residence?

When the program assistant and the case processing agent has approved and is waiting for VO's final approval it will still show your eligibility is under review. In most cases, the VO will go with the agent's comment unless the officer foresee any issues. RPRF request is surely a positive sign in a way it will be triggered only if your eligibility is cleared by the agents.

Hi, every applicant's circumstances and resulting timelines can be different. Eligibility Review is a very time consuming process and that's why it happens in 2 stages, first by an agent/analyst and then by an officer who is the decision making authority. Around this time is when a RPRF fee request is made, though it's advisable to pay this fee upfront (it's a refundable fee as well). Like you have mentioned about your travel history, it's possible that it could add time to the review. Furthermore, IRCC is taking more time to process applications as well, see page 26 at https://www.canada.ca/content/dam/i...ish/pdf/pub/2019-ee-report-pdfversion-eng.pdf

Any updates from your progress summary, you may be able to call IRCC as well to check in, GCMS notes, etc.

I did call the IRCC, but was told that there are no updates on Security and Background. Keeping fingers crossed!!

Got it. Security will only start after Eligibility is passed. Criminality check which is part of Background check (so is security) will happen sooner. All the best.

Sounds positive, so that's good. To ascertain what stage your application is at what does the progress status or GCMS file indicate?

IRCC just posted this on their twitter:

We have no further information at this time about opening of biometrics collection sites. You don’t have to give your biometrics until the site closest to you reopens, even if your biometrics instruction letter (BIL) says you have 30 or 90 days

So far, Service Canada did not provide any plans for reopening their offices, although the Federal Government released their guidelines for federal public service workers to return to the office as COVID-19 restrictions begin to ease across the country.

They are only giving COPR to applicants in Canada atm. Due to the pandemic, most Outland applicants won’t be able to travel for landing because of different countries restrictions, border closures etc. I believe they are withholding issuing COPR because of this and will resume as soon as countries lift travel bans and people are able to travel.

Thank you for you reply. I am an inland applicant and the estimated complete time of my EE at the beginning of October. Because there is no jobs available in Canada at the moment I am considering go back to my home country. I called CIC, and the agent said it is fine but I will need to update the address so they can contact me when needed. I think it is not risky I can just wait in my home country and get the COPR whenever the thing goes to normal.

Currently eligibility is being reviewed stage.

They also said the officer looking at my file does not need any more documents.

I am waiting on gcms notes.

Yeah in FEB everything was going accordingly so there wasn't any delay for biometrics. Thank you, but I am not sure if everything clear in the webform can guarantee a PPR.

What would be the reason of not granting PPR if everything is clear?
