Dear all,

I applied with my wife for FSW outland, from US. AOR February 22nd, Medical passed March 4th.
We had biometric scheduled for March 18th, but the ASCs in US closed the very same day (extremely unlucky of us...).
The "Biometric" section now changed to "We have not received your fingerprints. Check your biometrics request message below for details.", but I believe that we have a 90 days extension since we cannot provide fingerprints due to the pandemic.

Is there anything we can do aside waiting for the ASCs to open again?
Do you think that our application is completely paused now or will they process other parts in the meantime?

Thank you all and good luck.

AOR 18 Feb
Well I gave my biometrics on 13 March and my application kept showing Your action is required. Even when I raised a web form they told me that my biometrics are received by the respective office.
After some days the status changed to submitted and in the biometrics section it started showing that we have not received your fingerprints, however when I raised the web form again for this enquiry with the previous email attached I was given the exact same reply that I got last time.

Could somebody tell me if this is OK ot not and also today my estimated processing time changed from 5 months to 4 months.

TIA

No need to worry. If you have submitted your biometrics then just wait.

What is the status of your eligibility?

I asked through a web form for my application status and they told me that my Eligibility has not initiated and background check is in progress

@legalfalcon My offer letter did not mentioned my job responsibilities, so can I send a letter of my job description through the web form???

Thanks
You have to send a separate work ex letter mentioning you job duties, salary etc. on the company letterhead, this was clearly mentioned. If you havent sent it yet, send it asap before your application gets rejected.

I have attached my updated employment letter with the web form.

Is it the right location to provide the document or do we need to send it anywhere else?

if my employer submitted a work permit extension, can i apply for a bridging open work permit?
current status still reviewing background and inland.

Yes, if you meet the prerequisites of BOWP.

To be eligible, you must:

  • live in Canada (Quebec not included)
  • have a valid work permit that expires in 4 months or less
  • be the principal applicant on your permanent residence application
  • have submitted a complete application for permanent residence and passed the completeness check
  • have your acknowledgement of receipt letter

thanls legalfalcon...my current work permit that is restricted to the employer will expire June 2nd. the application for an extension they submitted was on February 12th. so, considering 90 days processing, this may come May 15th. i don't know now with the COVID-19, if they will ask to send passports for the visa or not.

Due to the COVID-19, there will be delays. However, you need not worry, since if you have filed your PR application or BOWP, then you are on implied status.

Can I rais webform if my file is being managed by consultant? And on which email id I will get response from IRCC. I.e. on my email or on consultant's email? @legalfalcon and other please reply.

YEs, you can. At the end, it is your application.
