I never got any email that my file was transferred to an specific office

nor me cause it's not been transferred yet....

But on my gckey profile its written that my background is being checked but i got no email on transfer and to where... so im confused also a feb 2019 applicant

Maybe they check it in Sydney. How many lines on your ecas?

Hi Everyone,

I applied for sponsorship for my wife in Philippines on February 2019, it’s been a month since the application was transferred to manila visa office. I’m just wondering what would be the next stage for this? Also, I received a ghost update awhile ago “application/profile updated” in GCkey and when i checked again, it became “submitted” again. Any idea?

my BGC of PA'S is also started a long ago.... and my file is still at Sydney but there's no line that says we started processing blabla on ecas

only i have are :

1. We received your application for permanent residence on February 19, 2019.
2. We sent you medical instructions on April 2, 2019. To avoid delays, please provide us the information requested in the letter as soon as possible. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
3. Medical results have been received.

Probably u r right, no transfer yet... I read here it is because they do some work on file in Sydney now. Soon it will come, 7-8 months after the submitting day

that's still none sense that it takes 7,8 months for a transfer tho. So i hope that after that is gonna be short at local VO cause if most of the work is done at Sydney is better be benefits there.

Agent told me that Criminality was passed and all but that security and eligiblity wasn't started (as eligibility need to be done at Mexico)

That’s good) I got pre arrival one month after transfer... but after that silence for a month already how not easy to wait all these 12 months...........

Ecas ? Im sorry but all this is really confusing. How can my background check be in progress on gckey while my file has not been transferred? Is it necessary for all applicants to get this email that the files been transfered?

there's 3 parts in BGC

- security (last step most of times...)
- criminality
- eligiblity

Usuallt they are able to do the 2 first ones at Sydney , the last aspect is done at the local VO of the PA.

That’s good) I got pre arrival one month after transfer... but after that silence for a month already how not easy to wait all these 12 months...........

Pre-arrival is rare that is gonna go on the down side of interview and all... so i think is a matter of days ,maybe weeks by now.

Called is the only way to know...cause gckey.... is not a superb referecne or you can always order notes

They don't send an email when BGC is started.
